Here is what contributes to PTSD: A soldier deployed in a foreign country with no sense of purpose. If you don't feel you are protecting America and its allies, you lose hope. I was in Vietnam when the grunts refused to go out on patrol. Why? No sense of purpose. We had no idea what we were fighting for. That was the beginning of the end in Vietnam. PS- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is the only therapy that actually works for PTSD. It's hard to find someone qualified to do it- but it's worth it. I appreciate your making this video. I'm a Vietnam vet with PTSD, medical evacuation helicopter (Dustoff) pilot. Never figured that the gunshot wounds I received would be among the least of my problems. It has not been easy. I'm distressed that my country is willing to give another generation of soldiers life-long physical and mental disabilities fighting in someone else's war.
