Why do we need to affect the colour of our skin. I mean, if I was from Bangladesh, I would be proud of my nose, or if I was from Sweden, I may be proud of my blond hair. That is all a part of us. it is not up for debate or something that we need to change. To me, it is more important to learn to appreciate the differences. I think that is why more college students are not as racist as non college students. Just being around so many different cultures gives you an appreciation for it.

I am not trying to be offensive, and my own family claims that we have Iriquios ancestors, and I like it as it sounds cool, but I'm not sure of it's veracity. Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. did a great documentary called "African American Lives 2" that ran on PBS that helped individuals trace their DNA roots back to specific regions of Africa. He spoke and did research on the claims to having Indian blood in us, and debunked the idea of everybody having it. I highly regard Dr. Gates
