  • That's why I'm lovin' it.

  • Nice Job Frednich , that mcdonald's diet is really cool. :)

  • Good for you! There is no magic pill with health and weight loss / management. Its really about altering your lifestyle in a sustainable way. It actually pretty cool that as you wean yourself off sugar or salt eventually if you taste what you used to eat its unpalitable. Keep it up!

  • well done m8! :)

  • Nice one... how is it now, were you able to keep it that way?

  • @howtolosebellyfatx more or less... I actually got down to 240, but now i'm back around 270.

  • McDonalds diet usually does the video backwards !

  • good job,

  • One thing that didn't change... the shorts.

  • @mrjspence yeah, I though it would make for a better video if I was wearing the same shorts for every picture. it would make it look like a professional time lapse

  • did you stop drinking alcohol as well during your diet? thats if you drank before you started

  • @1werall Nope I don't drink, never have

  • Good job and thanks for sharing your video.

  • I was hoping you ate an exclusive macd onalds only diet ...Good for you anyway

  • Woah. Ur 6'8" o. O

  • You were 269 on my birthday

  • nice results, congrats man

  • Does the grilled snack wrap thing really work? cause I work at mcdonalds and i think im gonna try this. I'm trying to lose weight to join the National Guard.

  • @Ismanuel

well it's probably the best thing on the menu... leave the sauce off... meat and cheese only is the way to go

  • Great music choice! :D

  • holy crap dude...6-8 that is tall..

  • fantastic job man!

  • this is cool. but i lost 60 pounds by just eating less and being active. of course it took me like six months. but hey this works

  • it is hard and takes long time if your just depending on diet ONLY but working out increases the weight loss x4 all you need is good pear of dumbbels and asking someone to teach you a few affective workout training technics

  • @warcraft12112

i did workout on the treadmill twice a day

  • good for you!

  • Well done to you!. I started to change the way I eat to cut out sweets/chocolate and replace trhdem with fruit. I am doing this ready for my 30th birthday in May. I want to look good for then as its a big milestone

  • ur 6'8??

  • @HolyEpicFace

    Yes

  • @frednich9603

u should take advantage of urr height, nd do somthin with itt!:D

  • @HolyEpicFace like what? Get a job cleaning ceiling fans?

  • @frednich9603

Ironically, that might just end up being a real job some day. Not too many people think to do it.

  • Diet, exercise, and persistence. It doesn't matter what version of that equation you use. If you take it seriously, you will always have serious results.

I would, however, recommend that you start to move away from the BMI charts. The more fit you become, the less realistic they are, IMO. I work in a medical clinic that does annual exams for local cops. Many are BMI "obese" but are actually just beefy and strong.

    Congrats on your success!

  • Wow...that's inspiring!..

I'm trying to lose weight and thise kind of video are really great!!...

    Keep up the good work!

  • is this good:i was very very very fat before now i look in the miror and i can see my ribs

  • WELL DONE you are an inspiration xxx

  • wow this is great keep up the great work ! one question though do you always eat 3 times a day? or like 6 small meals a day?

  • Usually a small, fat free breakfast, and light lunch, maybe a snack before dinner, and then a regular dinner (but low fat)

  • Your wife is no doubt supporting you. Fantastic man!

  • well done to you and I hope you retain that weight

  • I'm glad I didn't!!! I'm over 25 pounds lighter now than then. I'm going to post another video sometime... If I can lose about another 16 pounds I'll reach "normal" for BMI... that would be a good milestone to record for

  • good for you (:

  • Keep on going dude!!

I wanna see how u end up looking.

  • I'm going to post a new video for every 30 pounds Iose.. I hit 250 today, so I'm 10 pounds away.

  • i don't know if it was you, but i saw a similar diet on Rachael Ray show a while ago.. A guy who only ate at McDonalds and lost weight.. amazing, but I hate McDonalds x)

  • wasn't me... you might want to give McD another shot. they have relaly improved the quiality of their food in the last few years (at least the healthy stuff)

  • Great weight loss. But the problem with even eating that stuff at McD's is that the apples have almost no nutrients that you get there. Many don't know that part of conventional farming only giving the soil the minimum to make the fruits and veggies look good but not have full nutrients. the chicken is dosed with antibiotics and gmo unnatural feed. It's certainly better than other stuff on menu but it's still not really healthy.

  • nice job man keep it up! im strugging a little with my weight so im going to try what you did... walk some in the morning and some at night and watch my diet, thank you for posting this vid

  • thats bad ass dude howd you do it?

  • I covered that in the description of the video

  • One year later... I've lost 15 more pounds, and I'm down to 255, but the result isn't as dramatic, so I'm not going to post a new video quite yet. If I get down to 250 I will

  • goodjob

  • good job buddy but how can u be 6'8 and overweight?

its hard to become fat when you are that tall

  • BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    I wish that were true.

  • well im sure in high school u were thin am i right?

  • thinner than I am now, but I've always had a pot belly

  • good job but mcds did not get u this way maybe thats a before pic went from skinny to fat by eatn at mcds!

  • on sparkpeople McDonalds was actually on their "top ten healthiest" list for fast food. However, the only burger that made it on the list was just the plain hamburger with nothing on it. Everything else on the healthy list where the wraps etc. It really is all about what you eat.

  • Good job! I hope you are very proud and happy with yourself.

  • the 10% is easy and quick, the rest... is sooooo difficult. Its not just about how many calories you eat, but what you eat, fruits, vegetables, lean meat

    etc

  • 3 pounds per week? Sounds fast.

  • 3 lbs a week?

That would mean he would of had to have a 10,500 calorie deficit not a easy thing to pull off on will power.

  • i'm not sure about the math of a calorie deficit, but when you are that overweight, losing 10% of your body weight is not that hard. yes, I had to cut back on what I ate and work out almost every day, but I dont feel like it was an impossible task

  • "I guess this shows it's not where you eat, it's what you eat."

    Very very smart statement

  • I have those same trunks

  • Congratulations dude. My new years resolution was to loose weight too. I've only lost 20 lbs though.

  • i wish i was just fat, but no i have other issues

  • Good Job! I am 6' 3" and 235. Right now I walk a mile at night to warm up then a 30 ride on my recumbent bike. Oatmeal for breakfast, a simple lunch, then Chicken or something non-fried for dinner.

  • Completely inspiring, I hope to have your willpower when I begin my diet tomorrow - Happy New Year everyone, and to you, Frednich9603, the very best of luck (and to his supportive family, you're doing great!)

  • GOOD JOB MAN!!! yea i have a diet too.... no cokes, chips, fast food. i drink sum powdered gatorade like kool - aid but no sugar and water.... and yea i've been eating lots of fruit!! everyday!!! and i cant wait to lose sum weight!

  • same as me, only I cut all sugars and greasy foods, red meats and excess bread. along with Lots of water, and B complex vitamins and daily vitamins. I don't hardly lift a finger more than I did prior, and in 3 weeks I've lost 9 lbs, and saved money on the junk food.

  • Congrats that's pretty inspirational :)

  • brought to u by mcdonalds !

  • it looked like you had some stretch marks before...did they get better towards the end?

  • not really, I think they will be there forever

  • my friend had stretchmarks after pregnancy which i guess stretches the skin just the same, and she said bio oil helped a whole lot. keep up the great work

  • you're 6'8"?

    wow! haha

sorry that's just amazing to me.

i'm 5'2" and im the shortest person for my age

    in my town.

  • very impressive! i know how hard it is to lose weight. keep it up!

  • i want to lose weight. i'm female, 17, 5'4'' and 140lbs. how do i lose weight with my tight schedule? (goal 10lbs)

  • sparkpeople is a great resource. check it out.

  • park far away(back of lots) @ school, work, store, etc & eat good & do 10 mins of stuff @ home even the busiest people can sapre 1-30 mins/day

  • Try this:

Breakfast: Egg Muffin + black coffee no cream or sugar. Lunch: any Premium Grilled Chick Salad + Water or Unsweet ice tea. Dinner: option 1. Big Mac Sandwitch + Diet Coke. Dinner option 2. McChicken + Yogurat snake or low fat vilina ice cream cone + water or unswet ice tea. No Fries and sweet soda at all. I've lost 1.5 lbs in 3 days (if you are male and over 180 lbs)

  • nice job are you still going on with the weight loss?

  • Maintianing right now... I guess I need to set a new goal for myself.. I'm thinking about trying to loas another 20 pounds in the next year..., that's realistic

  • Great effort man. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to your next video.

  • i'm gonna make one of these weight loss lapse time things and post it at the end of summer. Too bad about the stretch marks, I hope they fade.

  • you must remember just because your losing weight or even if your BMI is good does not mean you are healthy. I am 5' 11 and 150 pounds, nearly ideal BMI, but up until a year ago my diet was low fiber high sodium etc, which puts you at risk for colon cancer heart disease diabetes etc regardless of your weight. include WHOLE grains in your diet don't limit it to eating small portions and the low carb bullshit, i learned my lesson when i almost lost my health for good.

  • I notice that your arms become very bony at the end... For some reason this makes me think that it's not safe...

  • optical illusion.. I've always had skinny wrists, even when i was over 300 pounds, but thanks for the concern.

  • cool :)

  • i have a question.. i couldn't help but notice you have stretch marks... and so do i.. and if i was to loose all the extra pound i have on, would the stretch marks disappear? did they for you?

  • so far they are about the same... we'll see in time if they go away.

  • ummeh. I've lost 60lbs and my stretch marks are still there. They are fading somewhat though, and I'm hoping that they will eventually go away.

  • African Shea butter. I am going to do a show on how I did it... but I lost weight and am losing weight and shea butter has my skin PERFECT and help me get rid of old stretch marks!

Add me to your friendslist and I will send the vid out to you when I do it.

    -TonyaTko

  • stretch marks are scars, they won't go away, but they do fade significantly over time and with lotions or whatever.

  • Very inspiring!

  • im inspired thanks

  • im inspired thanks

  • I knew you could do it! I'm very proud of you for working hard!

  • grats man

  • Way to go Mark- I see McDonald's Jared in the making!

    Nice editing as well!

    P*E*A*C*E*

    Leonard

  • good start

  • Incredible! All of that in just 11 weeks? Great video too! Congratulations!
