  • That's what GM should have done,i'm actually surprised they still put V8's in cars and sell them for thousands more as SS Versions,a blown V6 is way more bad than the V8 and probably keeping down the consumption if you drive at rpms you ain't getting boosted.

  • So where are the improper comments are?

  • That's a nice car Leno's got.

  • Did he not want the SS badges?

  • I was at the LA Auto Show when Leno and SEMA unveiled this. Pretty neat that they are doing stuff for the V6.

  • nice car...owner is a complete dork

  • a v6 is so light and nimble in the front. im sure its a whole new beast...dont hate on v6's guys or a grand national will come out and stomp your v8 ass....as well as the new gtr's......but im a v8 kinda guy but kudos to thinkin out of the box.

  • I prosume with the lighter weight up front it would outhandle the V8 on the twistie bits, while the flatter torque curve would make the car a real goer whether in town or country.

  • @EnigmaNZ1 but a camro will never handle good any ways

  • @ecosby100 I think you meant to write the following....but a CAMARO will never handle WELL ANYWAYS.....but I could be wrong.

  • I think its a great idea. This type of car will end up being the most common muscle car in the furture. I just dont know if it'll ever catch on, Ford made the supercoupe ,which was a single supercharger, but still it didnt catch on and the T-bird and SC died.

  • the best thing is people think oh its just the v6 when they pull up. they dont know what you really have until they catch back up to you at the next light.

  • @PolarisDragonman600 Truth brother. I love the look people give you when you drop the 312 hp rating, the sorry sideways glance they give their older V8 (insert pretty much any stock car here).

  • @csalaza0905 The SS has what? A little over 100 more HP than the V6 and it's like 20k more? I'd honestly prefer getting the V6 and putting a little work into it. Save alot of money probably.

  • @swan467 The SS manual has 426, the auto has 400. The largest difference would be from the 1LS to the 2SS convertible, the former ~23k and the latter ~40k. 2SS coupe is ~35K. So assuming you buy the 1LS it is cheaper to just put a single turbo (maybe twin later down the line). But Since most people have the 1LT, 2LT, or 1SS the smallest price difference (between 2LT and 1SS) is 3K. So if you're buying the 2LT it's cheaper to just buy the 1SS (you lose the luxury options of course).

  • @swan467 if a V6 costs 16K then yes, it is 20k less. i'm getting a 2SS any day now for 36K.

  • I love some of the things Jay does to cars mechanically, but he leaves the exteriors soooo boring IMO. I realize he considers himself an automotive purist but that car is boring to look at.

  • a lot of plastic, no?

  • i would rather have a v6 camaro with a turbo then a v8

  • @Mr2010Luistorres I'd just get a v8 and drop a turbo in it in about a day.

  • and people say v6 camaros suck :p

  • @RicerEater1978 Exactly, I'll let you know how much Big Boys I take out on the daily when I get mines:)

  • @BLACKMAMBA52588 cmon over to northern illinois and we can race! :p ive got a 300 hp nova right now. im going to be getting a 96 v6 camaro this summer

  • why did he do this? .. because he can

  • @MrSlevin22 Exactly! I love it and want to get that v6 challenger so bad because its very sexy, but its too heavy and the mustang is very unattractive. I should have that 2011 maro V6 RS before this year is out!

  • @BLACKMAMBA52588 unattractive? have you seen the front end???? the rear is eh...

  • @2010BlownGT I love the front end of the 5.0 with the California pony pack! I love that grabber blue interior too! The rear looks horrible and I hate the look of the v6 period. Imho, the Camaro v6 has the best bang for buck & seems to have the best of both worlds! Im going for a blk/orange 2LT Rs and can't wait. With full bolt-ons with a tune your looking at around 310rwhp or more & that is plenty get-up for me.

  • @BLACKMAMBA52588

If i was in your position, i would probably go v6 camaro too...but damn i went to look for my little brother...and they wouldnt budge on 30k for 2010???

    I can get a 5.0 Mustang for 30k....

  • @2010BlownGT Wow, do mean the v6 mustang? if so, a 2010 v6 is going for around 17,500 in my area, 26,000 for the 2010 Gt, and the 2011 v6 for 20,000. The Camaro v6 Ls & 1LT are around 21k to 25k depending on options. I could get a 2010 SS but I want the v6 2011 more because of mpg, insurance, and long term reasons. If you are going for a 2010, u are better off getting the 2011 v6 that will kill the 2010 gt. The Camaro & Mustang v6's are completely BEAST and are the future of American Muscle!

  • @BLACKMAMBA52588 Your fucking dumb. A v6 maro wont beat a 2010 gt stang... gtfo slut

  • @10txram Sorry bro, but u are the tru idiot for not knowing a 2011 Maro LLT & A 2011 Mustang V6 can beat & tie with the 2010 Gt! I guess only real car enthusiast would know that. My friend has a black 2010 Gt with light mods & raced it against my neighbors 06 G35 Coupe with just a Catback & Cai and LOST all 3 times! Now a new maro & mustang would beat a G35 so u do the math. He is now selling it for a 2011 Mustang. Its nothing wrong with not agreeing with my comment, but learn some respect bro.

  • @BLACKMAMBA52588 Wtf are you on. Im not yor bro. and you switched from a fucking maro to a g35??

  • Impressive wheels from Chevy. It's too bad that there is no V6 turbo camaro from the factory. Perhaps GM should bring back the Buick Grand National. This car in a way is a "reincarnation" of that car. The V6 turbo camaro is indeed more unique and I think more impressive than the V8. The V8 is just pretty good in a straight line and for burning up tires...For all the haters buy a V8 camaro and hate on the tires...

  • I think E55 amg will smoke this even tho im a camaro fan

  • @xxhoparikxx actually, even though the e55 amg costs over 100k, and this dosent lool, this would actually more than likely beat it down the strip

  • @anyonewholikesfordsorfaggotassmustangs

Get a chevy! Fords suck mustangs suck... Love how ford decided to use the direct injection after chevy... U can't spell competitor without copier! I also heard Leno got a custom jay Leno chin splitter front end made in honor of his gnarly chin!

  • This car is good to look at, horrible to drive. You cant see anywhere out of those windows.

  • @uwontprevail how tall are you 5'1

  • @atlridder Dont talk if you dont have a 2010 camaro lmao....visibility is insanely horrible.. rear...blind spot..everywhere backing out anywhere is a nightmare

  • @rkellyonu Actually It depends on the driver once the seat is correctly set I see every where no problem ....I freakin love driving that car......

  • @rkellyonu Fifth gen camaros sales would probably insanely increase if they eliminated the blind spots, dropped 2-300 lbs and used better material for the dashboard, inner doors etc.

  • @rkellyonu Chargers and Challengers have the same nasty ass spot

  • @rkellyonu Its not that bad. For noobs it may be the end of the world, but I'm used to driving SUVs, so this isn't anything outrageous.

  • how much is it to supercharge the camaro? and whats the gas milage after does any1 know?

  • @xxhoparikxx Google is your friend.

  • @randydelpriore not anymore that niga is two faced keeps changing prices n shit

  • @xxhoparikxx much better and cheaper to twin turbo it. it cost 7 grand for a supercharger and you use more fuel, the twin turbo set i ordered cost 4 grand,, got me more power, less weight and now use less fuel

  • @xxhoparikxx if you worried about mpg, you shoulld be shopping for a toyota yaris instead

  • @xxhoparikxx Fuel economy is totally depended on the user, if you are of course the guy who will always stop, you actually will lose fuel economy, but if you drive it nicely, a nice 1-3MPG or even more is a good average.

  • jay leno's a bamf

  • I love that bumper, its awesome.. The engine is kicking ass too, though some people might feel like the V8 sound is missing.

  • anyone have an idea on what kind of numbers this thing puts down?

  • @Rafflersauce 425 horsepower with virtually no penalty to fuel economy

    Souce: autoblog

  • If all men were created equally, then why does Jay Leno own half my cars?

  • THATS A DEC' CAR! Jay Lenos vehicles KICK ASS.. Thumbs up For Chevrolet and Jay Leno put together

  • i see nitrous lines.. :D

  • @responsibleError Where? Those braided lines are oil lines for the turbo.

  • @jimbo98z well there goes my enthusiasm.

  • Comment removed

  • best v6 2010 camaro iv ever seen so far

  • 425 hp

  • im going to do this shit to my v6 camaro same model as Jay's but only its cyber drk with black stripes couldnt tell if his is a RS or not but mine is. Hola!

  • sexy as fuck! plus its prob over 500hp

  • @ilovesilvia69 425HP

  • I wonder what a Mustang driver's face looks like after they learn a V6 beat them? Ford = SHAME. GO CHEVY!

  • 3.5L TT ecoboost mustang vs Jay Leno's TT V6 Camaro

    AMERICA FUCK YEAH!

  • which one are you saying is american?

  • @backintack the 2 off them are american, doesn't matter if the camaro is build in canada. they are both build by american manufacturers and the money goes to USA. Camaro & Mustang, american icons

  • @andrestnt im aware of that. Just making sure you were

  • @andrestnt so the camaro is built in canada on an australian platform?? i understood it sat on a modified GTO chassis??

  • @prdgyair on the g8 chassis, thats why its so heavy and big. the G8 chassis isn't bad, but its not a dedicated pony chassis.

  • @andrestnt yeah but both have chassis from other countries, the camaro is based on a Holden and the Mustang on a modified ( see simplified ) Jaguar chassis, both sexy cars tho

  • @lukeshytalker02 lol did you just made that comment. the mustang rides its owned dedicated chassis the S197, you can find this info easily on the web. your right on the camaro. when the mustang goes global in 2014, the mustang will ride in a new smaller chassis, and will provably merge with the falcon's chassis. that will allow lincoln to get its RWD sedan or coupe, and truly be ONE GLOBAL FORD.

  • @andrestnt well i cant be arsed to google it now cos im going to bed, but you can google it, and i'll be very surprised if you dont find that the mustang chassis is based on the lincoln LS chassis, which as everybody knows is borrowed from the Jag S type

  • @lukeshytalker02 yes the jag uses DEW98 chassis that was developed by ford and jag the biggest difference is the double wishbone suspension on the jag and the chassis debuted first on the Lincoln LS. ford used the D2C platform for the mustang. the thunderbird used the DEW98 as-well. only the mustang used the D2C platform, D2C is loosely based on the Ford DEW platform. ether way no one uses dedicated chassis anymore because of how expensive it is. one example the audi R8

  • @andrestnt so essentially the Mustang chassis is based on the S type chassis hehe

  • @lukeshytalker02 no both the LS, s-type, and thunderbird use the DEW98 that was developed by ford and jaguar. the mustang uses the D2C platform which was set to under-print these cars, but was deemed to expensive so the DEW98 was created. no other car uses D2C at the moment, and will probably merge with the falcon. D2C and DEW98 don't share components, only dimensions.

  • haters, the one product that this world produces overabundantly

  • what's all the hoopla about, Buick's have been exceeding the 500 hp mark along time ago, now this is a nice build but nothing to be wowed about, there are some Buick v6 pushing 1,400 to 1,600 hp

  • Well it's all GM so who cares.

  • @ScottXC91 WE ALL CARE thats who ......we'll except you that is, and it's a good thing for you that having bad taste isn't a crime or they will be giving you the CHAIR!!!!!

  • Whoa, I'm gonna have to request that you pump your brakes. Oh, and cut the @ shit.

  • What will it cost and when can I buy it?

  • i see a new grand national on the horizon! GNX model maybe!

  • i bet that camaro makes a awsome sleeper.

  • want!!! want!!!!

  • AWESOME JAYYYY I have so much appreciation for this car because for years since before either of them came out into production i've been planning on having a single supercharged twin turbo new V6 Camaro and my buddy has had the same idea for his 2010V6 mustang and since we're in the Military now we can afford to do it

  • سلام how fast from 0 to 100 km and how many horse power ? and torq?

  • 425hp v6 from the artical i read

  • Not bashin the car but 425 HP is kinda weak for a twin turbo V6 that puts out 300 HP stock with direct injection. A 3.8L V6 Camaro can be built up to 500 HP with a single turbo, built motor, and good tune.

  • Go yap about the 3.5 Ecoboost making 350 horse.

  • isnt a 6.2L non efficient V8 more sad? If its going into production, it cant have more horsepower then the standard C6 Corvette :)

  • THey have a 3.6 man

  • That car looks like it's fast!!!!!!

  • for some reason, that camaro looks a lot sexier than all others i've seen.

  • lol i agree!!! but hey i still give the stock V6 credit its pretty powerful and now with twin turbo?..i'd like to see the specs on that. but still nothing beats an all american V8

  • I bet you $25 this TT V6 has more horsepower than the 6.2LV8.

  • lol i'm not totally shutting down the V6..if you read my comment i said they're actually pretty good. Look at the Ford Ecoboost..any car with that engine definately qualifies as a sleeper in my book.

  • he has both dumbass

  • For the same reason that the Ecoboost TT V6 is replacing the N/A V8 in alot of Ford vehicles. Namely, equal or better performance, with much better gas mileage, and in a smaller package.

  • you do understand that jay leno makes probally more than 10 million a year. I dont think gas is an issue for him and a v8 with twin turbos would be faster

  • For some odd reason, I would take a TT V6 or a TT Inline 6 over a TT V8.... Not sure why.

  • Maybe he just wanted to try something different? It is SEMA after all and there were plenty of turbo V8s. Even before SEMA people were already putting all kinds of turbos and superchargers on LS3's, doing the same thing to the V6 is pretty unique by comparison.

  • @mak450 thats why im not going to replace the 2.8L V6 in my Jimmy with a V8, too common to see now

  • ur tough

  • Whats special about it other than it has twin turbo and its a V6? Oh, its Leno's? Whats the scoop?

  • wow that thing is nastey! i love it. what are the horsepower ratings? and i'd imagine fuel economy should be about the same.

  • i saw this on his site, w/ Ed Welburn and he was pushing him to put it into production! Georgeous car!

  • beautiful:)

  • nice!

  • 1st :)
