  • It’s funny that Gary Lineker saying that the gulf between the premiership and the rest is widening and the following season chesterfield almost makes it to the final!

  • I remember watching this episode when it first aired and nodding in agreement about the crazy money in football.....strange to watch it 15 years later and see how it compares to now.

  • "There's seven or eight of their players that are quite well known to me so that shows the strength of their side, I think"

Good to see that Forest went into that game so well prepared. How they lost it we'll never know.

  • Stuart seems well clued up for captaining Forest in their "Yoofa" Cup run. "I haven't really known a lot of the players on the teams we've played so far this year."

  • This was taken I think on Saturday 2nd March 1996 :)

  • Bent End?

  • Wow Gary Linekars haircut is decidedly cheap in 1996...

  • Forest.... what a big contrast. They got relegated and stayed at the 1st Division ever since... Great fans. Great traditions.

  • What an awesome upload, thank you!!!!! made even better by a saints win!

  • Remember watching that match with Woan, the bastard lol

Great days, Lineker looks so young.

It's funny hearing him mentioning money and things getting out of control, it's 100 times worse now!

  • Ian Woan! Taking charge of portsmouth in the premiership this weekend as well!

  • Only Wimbledon could play on a rubbish surface like that and win a game, to them it was never about a good pitch, it was about how high you could knock it forward. And the 90s were AWFUL for fashion statements, good lord. Those oversize football shirts just asking to be tugged and what the hell is Stuart Pearce wearing? He looks like a dull cloud on a stormy day. Lineker has defo got better with age though, dont think Bux would have fancied him back then lol

  • If you want to watch football on your pc then you should try this place, why pay sky fees or another package when you can get this.

    bit (dot)ly/3e9Ovx

  • footballs not so much football anymore i reckon its a money game well duh lol

  • Whatever happened to Ian Woan? Scored some great goals!

  • He's now the Youth Team Coach at Portsmouth, after Forest he went to play in the US as his wife is American. Class player!!!

  • @theohaigy google him then

  • That bloody Effin Ekuku git

  • What a goal tho!

  • Look at Ray Stubbs poncey quiff!

  • Shep Shagger??? Just dont tell John Noakes that!

  • gary linekar as a pundit, who'd have thunk it

  • Ahhhhh I miss those days... :(

  • Will never forget the dodgy ref in the Man Utd - Southampton game!.

  • my money is on a liverpool v man utd final.man u to win.any takers?

  • Watching stuff like this is incredible!

  • Tyldesley joined ITV in the same year!

  • lmao at Liniker's tie XD

  • @russianboi14 he looks liek a 16 year old wearing his dad's suit for a job interview.

  • "average home gate has been just under 6,000"

MK Dons average homegate is already superior this season in League 2!!

  • Yes but this is just before Euro 96! Before all Toffeenose Bandwagon Jumpers suddenly got on aboard!

  • MK Dons don't exist as far as most football fans are concerned.

  • What you've gotta remember mate is that a club run for the fans is "not in the best interest of football." Football is all about the money and if a rich man wants to pluck a club from its community so he can try and find a place where he will earn a bit more than that is what he should do!

  • Nope, football is about the fans. We'll be here long after the money's disappeared.

  • WOW. legend!!! the glory days. i loved this and grandstand, saturday mornings. robert miles children...

  • Ray stubbs does look young and lineker as a pundit before lynam moved over to itv. There was alot of replays that year

  • What's the music from 3:53 onwards?

  • Whats the name of the commentator commentating over he Wimbledon vs Huddersfield match?

  • It's Gerald Sinstadt I think. Does anyone know the music behind the Stuat Peace piece from 3:53 onwards?

  • thanks, i thought it might be him. got know idea on the song though.

  • "Twisterella" by Ride

... Yeah, I should probably get out more

  • You're welcome to both DirtySanchez1955 and 628402. There'll be a few more parts to this Football Focus, and I know I've got some more football on the old videos, so I'll stick them up as soon as I can. I'll try and do it this weekend!
