Actually your wrong about the stage. It was 2 feet high and black. The L.D. board was in back by the inner bar. The stage never changed as i was head of security for John Fender a close friend who owned the ballroom and Club. I left in 1989 and kept in contact and shortly after John Fender shut everything down.
I want to clarify on what she says about the stage at Fenders Ballroom always being on the floor(low down to the floor as seen in this video) becuase after mid 1986 it was not low-down and was 5 feet higher to have a sheild between the bands and the fans so they could play without a mob on the stage.
