I would like to know why people sing about mary? did she die for you on a cross, did mary raise from the dead? did mary pay the price for our sins?
mary didnt do anything Jesus came to do the will of the father Jesus was the word come in flesh so mary wasnt the mother of God in a litteral spiritual sence.
So its very strange belief bordering on lies wouldnt you say. jesus is eternal unlike mary.
We sing about Mary because she is the prime example of how we should follow God.
God sent her an angel, bearing a message which, if I were the young girl to receive it, I probably would have freaked out and said "no", but what did she do? Mary said, "behold, the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to thy word". Mary shows us how to say yes and to submit to God's will.
Mary was there, with Jesus, in every part of his life, in joy, suffering and death, loving Him all the way. She has shared in his experiences, even though it may not have been to the same degree (don't mothers hurt when their children hurt). Even when it was hard, she never left. Mary shows us how to follow Jesus closely.
At the foot of the cross on Calvary, according to the Gospel of John, Jesus said to Mary, "Woman, behold your Son" and to the disciple, "behold your Mother". AND FROM THAT TIME, THE DISCIPLE TOOK HER INTO HIS HOME!

Jesus came through the will of the Father, you are right. But he is God, and Mary bore the Son of God. She is the Mother of God and Jesus told her at the foot of the cross: "Woman, behold your son", indicating John, and us. Mary is our mother too, the new Eve, conceived without sin to Anna, and remaining pure all the days of her life. She said yes to the angel when he asked of her a great thing. She suffered everything Jesus did in her burning heart, and she intercedes for us, she has...
unconditional love, and was raised to heaven body And soul where she continues to guide us in her motherly ways; when you can do all of that yourself, then, you can tell me my Mother Mary isn't special.
God praise you, Mary, for the Lord knew you would say yes to being His servant, and the mother of all his children; on this day, you were conceived purely, without the stain of original sin. I love you.

Why do you sing your national anthem?
