I saw this in june 23, 2011 at a private screening for homeschoolers me and my friends were 13 years old. we werent allowed to watch batman begins or the dark knight. so when we saw it we were in total shock it was the best movie we had ever seen. now were going as far to do a shot for shot remake of the film. long live batman 1989

Jack Nicholson was a big celebrity acting goofy. Likewise, Batman Forever had big celebrities acting goofy. So why did it work so well in the first two Batmans, but failed so severely in those aweful Batmans 3 and 4?

Bale, Keaton, Clooney, and Kilmer all played very good Bruce Waynes. Are you have to do really is be white, handsome, and rich lol. But it's also playing his alter ego Batman that is the real key....and Clooney definitely fell off the map first on that one. Yikes.

Peronally I think that Michael Keaton played Batman well, but not Bruce Wanye, whereas Val Kilmer played Bruce wayne well, but not Batman. Christian Bale on the other hand, does both well. But this is just my opinion.

I know what you mean, did you see this in theaters when you were 7? i did at 8 and it rocked, i saw it 5 times in theaters in my city and had the merchandise including eating the cereal and having the VHS film with NES game for christmas that year and watching the 60's. I became a Bat-fan, i even saw the sequel in theaters 4 times and had merchandise and watched TAS religiously every after school, did you too had the same experiences?

Problems with this trailer only at the beginning and end do you get the danny elfman theme or any music, in the middle is just a bit odd, plus they showed the joker too much, but other than that, great trailer for one of my favourite films

If I have one complaint about this trailer...they should have shown the Joker's face only once. There are scenes where they show as Jack Napier which are fine but any of him as the Joker, I would have cut out EXCEPT for the part where he says, "Wait'll they get a load of me."

@SchweitzerMan I agree, but at the time, the Burton and Keaton didn't have a lot of faith placed in them. This trailer was created in a rush to quell the masses as to what they were making here. I think they were really trying to blow peoples socks off here. Doing so involved showcasing the Joker. I do agree though that less is more.

@gtmunn The original Batman story was written in 1962 and was about Bruce Wayne struggling with his homosexuality. He wore costumes at night and went to gay drag queen shows until one night when he saw his father exiting from a gloryhole booth. He snapped and started killing gays in his bat outfit. The Joker was actually an ex lover of his who contracted aids and tried to hide his diseased face with clown makeup.

All those weapons and he still couldn't hit The Joker? Seriously? Then he gets pegged by a handgun with a very long barrel. Worst part of the whole movie! The rest was great, excellent, loved it! But that part? Guy shoots down a plane with a handgun! I was shocked!

@gunman771000 Batman had a very small target from a very, very far distance so obviously there was a great chance that would happen. As for the the Joker taking down the Batwing with a "handgun", according to the comic adaptation the Joker shot an explosive shell.
