Oh if you're having trouble aiming the Dark Lance try pressing R3 (or the stick that controls the aiming/camera). Not sure how to describe what it does, but it does something to help out with the aiming.
@TheDSGamer Actually, now that I've reread my post I'm unsure if it's L3 or R3. Sorry I haven't played the game in a while, but I know it's one of those :)
