@TheGanjaman69 It's actually not DJ Shadow singing. It's an ancient funk sample who's vocalist he could not identify. He tried as hard as he could but he could not track down the original artist.

@DannyJumbo I wish I knew. I don't think even Davis himself knows. Reportedly, the track "employs an inspiring sampled vocal lifted from a 40-year old reel discovered in a disused studio". That's all I was able to find for now. There wasn't even a vocalist name to be found anywhere. Dunno where you'd be able to track down the original. I'd love to find it, as well. :/

@shinsfan1986 You pretty much aren't going to find anything like this being made anymore, at least... The instrumentation was actually all recorded just for this song, I believe, utilizing Davis' official band, the Heliocentrics, as well as some English orchestra.

we just talked to people. It was amazing to see how many people just wanted to give it a try for the day. What was cool is whenever we asked someone and they would start hooping they would immediately smile, lots of peopel said it changed their day.
