It all depends. If the pinky is on the fourth string, it is D/F#. If the pinky is on the fifth string, it is D/C#.

By the way, another way to play D/F# is 200232, where the string order is EADGBe. (you play the regular D chord, just tack on your thumb on the Low E second fret.

I just realized I said both D/C# and C#/D. TOTALLY DIFFERENT CHORDS. The one i'm trying to explain is when the base note for the D chord is a C# note, which I think is expressed as C#/D. D/C# is when the base of the C# chord is a D note.
