Great guide, still have a few questions that have been bugging me. Does dual wielding improve DoT significicantly? Do you strike with your right then with your left half way through the firsts delay or what. And what is the best subjob? email at architect82191@yahoo.com please.
@Architect82191 DUal wield reduces weapon delay, the lowest one being 10%. The difference between Dual Wield and actual haste is Haste reduces casting time and doesn't reduce TP per swing.
Despite those shortcomings, nin sub gives you 10%, then 15% when you hit 50 (25 nin sub) and I believe 20% at 80 (40 ninja sub). This is a significant improvement over the base delay, and a significant improvement towards DoT.
Hey great video I just wanted to add two things about the Pet Abilitys Im not sure if some one already said it but i will again lol. Using "Stay" on your Pet will have it recover HP. So if you use the regen food or the +Hp regen pet food it will make healing your charmed pet or jug pet stay alive alot longer. And only one thing on "Snarl" is you can only use it on a Jug pet. Sadly S/E wont let it be used on a charmed pet yet =( but any one hit me up on Shiva server Purrrl. I love duoing bst
hey im level 11 right now and im having some troubles. I'm leveling in the highlands charming mad sheep and than fighting rock lizards. my problem is though that my charm lasts like 2 minutes if even and than in the middle of the fight it turns on me and i have trouble targeting it to recharm... is there a macro or something that would help? or should i do something different if it turns on me? im just having trouble thanks!
You know, I recently started leveling BST, I duo with a friend, and we've been having a blast, level 1-35 in 2 weeks duoing the whole way. I just wish parties didn't move in and camp on top of us constantly...seriously no consideration it seems sometimes.
Hello fellow BST! Great Vid, I recently got 75 on bst and want to record soloing NMs for gear and money and such, What program did you use to record in game? I tried FRAPS but it was a 30 second cap.
Congrats on 75!!! ^-^ And i do use Fraps but i bought the program. You seem to only have downloaded the free version which only lets you record 30 secs at a time. When i bought it, it was $30. I may have gone up since then. Good luck! ^^

@gutsofmud if you have an awesome PC, you can set your 3d resolution really high and it will downsample, making everything look very smooth. For example I have an i5 / 6gb ddr3 and an XFX ATI 5770 HD graphics card, I run my window resolution at 1440 x 900, but my 3d resoltuion is 2880 x 1800. I find FFXI to be one of the most beautiful games ever created :)
