  • @gonnieFTW Love it TV in the server room, Would i love one of them in mine lol, trouble is i have run outa power points lol..... We have to turn a server off at 5 o'clock so i can plug me tv in to watch simpsons lol

  • @superserverdude I BUILT A SMALL SERVER ROOM IN MY HOUSE I HAVE A TV IN IT

  • Thats the real knowledge base :D :D

  • lol you realised the simpsons was on so stoped filming to watch it lol

i would have done the same ;)

    nice setup like the tv

  • Krusty!

  • nice, what song play?

  • Those are not servers. To be a "server" a machine must have redundent power supplies, a full lights out power and systems control module, built in hardware diagnostics, at least dual socket processors ( cores are entirely different ) that can run independantly, multiple memory controllers, and redundant storage. Anything less is just a junk PC. Additional merit for on-the-fly parts replacement ability. Think Sun V890's etc.

  • @lastmiles your an idiot, take a look at the X series Xeons, notice how there SINGLE SOCKET chips, FYI those are dell poweredge tower servers (or at least a couple of them are) which are considered server grade. Guess that would consist of a JUNK PC to you, keep in mind, there are 1U servers without redudant power supplies.

  • @jeffm4688 Those are all just PC's in a messy room. No raised floor. No in-rack cooling. No backup generators or chillers. Whatever. This is of no interest to me.

  • @lastmiles do you have any idea what your talking about? A server has to be in a datacenter to be classified as a server? I know places( whom i have servers with) that dont run redudant power suppies(in the server) and run single core chips in 1U cases. Just because it's in a room doesn't mean its a PC, a server is just a computer which is services other computer, i have a P4 in a tower case running DNS & DHCP & NAT, i dont understand how you dont consider it a server.

  • @jeffm4688 I am sure you are correct. I am wrong. My mistake. Have a good evening.

  • @lastmiles

then why watch it if its no interest to yo

  • lol The Simpsons on a big screen! :)

  • OH a tv in your server room lucky lucky

  • cool is this like for a school or a large coperny?

  • its our internal office servers.

  • Cool nice who do you work for?
