Caring for what the Creator gifted to humans is what it is all about. Yes, we need to help people as well, but at times people are the cause of the problems and that needs to be addressed. There are so many people on this planet, billions, using up everything we were given. How ungrateful of us!

Seeing small bits of human kindness gives one hope in a world that seems not to care about anyting but money and material goods.

I find it an insult people pay so much attention to a damn koala rather than our own people.

Attention was paid to the human victims of the fires. Over 350 million dollars was raised though the Red Cross.

I think the point is that people can help each other, and they will. Animals are dependent to some degree on people. They depend on us to not be too friendly, and sometimes they depend on us for their lives. They are at our mercy more often than not.

People can help themselves, each other, and have the brains to make things better. You cannot hold animals accountable for that - it's just not fair.

My heart has been heavy this week, with the devastating and tragic bushfires taking place in Victoria.. but the story of Sam the koala really touched my heart and brought a smile to my lips... so lovely to hear of the compassion shown to her by David Tree (God bless him, the man deserves a medal!)...and the outpouring of love shown to her from this great nation and the world beyond.. Australia, we WILL rebuild!... God bless youall!

no, luckily but it got pretty darn close! the bottom of the hill is all burnt and were still not allowed in certain areas up the road, its still a "crime scene" =[ its horrible
