i tried to get one proto drake but its so fucking hard!! the only one thets easy to get is the green PD but iven for that 1 you need to wait 6 days for the age to hach and its a low chanche that you get GPD

But u also got black proto for this achivement. both black proto and this plagued have been removed from the game. but those who had it. Were given a possibility to keep them.

Coz I don't/didn't have skills for black, plague, rusted or iron-bound.

I have the red, green and time-lost. Been running UP everyday ( easily 100+ times) but never seen it drop.

I thought the plagued proto-drake looked cool. Sadly the only way to get it now would be to e-Bay an account with one. I reckon they look better than the frostbrood ones ( ICC achievement mounts)

I got one from a cracked oracle rep egg. Recommended, but it can take many weeks. However, the eggs drops small cute pets as you try and try. A few drops in between are crap, continue and you will get it.

@joripien Yeah you got them from the regular Glory of the Raider 10 and 25 man achievements, just as what you do with the Glory of the Ulduar Raider and Glory of the Icecrown Raider now a days.

They just removed the mounts from the achievements when they released patch 3.1 (The secret of Ulduar) since it would be to easy to achieve these mounts and they still want them to be rare and hard to obtain.

The Black Proto Drake is not longer obtainable, Blizzard took it away a few weeks after ulduar came out ( 3.1 ) if im correct. They will soon be taking away both the Rusted Proto Drake & the Ironbound Proto Drake. However if you are looking for a pretty cool Proto, try getting Glory of the Hero ; It's not very hard with most people in t9.

The [Reins of the Black Proto-Drake] was a reward for complete all of the Naxxrammas achievements before Ulduar came out (when they unfortunately excluded the mount for a reward)

Imo, it should've had its arms and wings the same, like bats. It would've had a more primordial feel to it. Right now, it kinda reminds me of a whelp with its small arms. Plus, the way it walks already looks like it has armwings.

Ugly is completely subjective, this is the way Proto-Drakes were designed to look, and they're pretty big, I mean, you cant just put out a normal dragon, these look pretty unique, and thats cool in my book.

blue proto -is a very low droprate from boss in heroic utgarde pinnacle

green -is from the oracles egg

red - is from 5 man heroic achievements

plagued-from 10man raid achievements

black-from 25man heroic raid achievements

time lost -is a drop from rare spawn drake in storm peaks

violet-is reward from doing ALL seasonal achievemets

Violet takes 2 years technically because you need to get all of the achievements in one year and one of the brewfest achievements takes you a year to get so unless you got brewfest membership in brewfest 2008 it will be brewfest 2010 until you can even get the proto drake but for those of you like me get it 2009 brewfest so

the blue proto drake: Skadi the ruthless might drop it (i think its heroic only)

Green (i got it /brag): oracles egg which you buy at revered has a veyr rare chance to hatch into it.

Time-lost: not easiest since it involves finding a flying super rare spawn in storm peaks, but its 1 of the 3 non achievement ones
