You know, music was also a huge part of his vision of each collection -- I like the music you selected, but it completely changes the tone of the entire show. Especially since a song like Red Tape creates a completely different edge. Just sayin' if you're trying to honor the collection's inspiration which also inspired his selection of music.
@vindemiatrix I understand what you're saying about keeping the original artistic integrity and vision of the artist... but that song is just terrible. imho, it almost cheapens the collection. The music ,to me, just didn't match the sophistication of the collection.
I mean, Red Tape was used to market Underworld... really Mr. McQueen? REALLY?
If i ever decided to make another video of a fashion show I wouldn't change the audio unless it made me cringe.
@Shadandasaur Supposedly McQueen was related to one of the victims of the Salem Witch Trials. I assume the theme of witches and magic is part of an homage to Ms. Howe.
were the songs you used in the video the songs that were used in the actual runway show? on mcqueen's website there is no audio, and every video on youtube has different background music. pleassse answer :)
@couturecupcak3 No, this is the same video from the website only with audio that I added. The song for the actual show (or part of it at least) was Red Tape by Agent Provocateur, which didn't really seem to relate to the mood or content of the show (plus I think the song just plain sucks lol)
Is she related to Elizabeth Howe?
