When the going got tuff i put chains on all four, i owned 9 4x4's the Bronco was by far the best in mud or snow.

I'm a Finn in Minn. the snow and mud get deep.

@ticker511 Yes. Chains can be good at some times, but could also take you down to the ground. And that´s something we try to avoid. In deep snow.

Yes Right, I'd go across a field or lake in 20 to 30 inch's of snow in second gear low range on the floor boards, just hang on.

@RoleTDI Yes. You really need fat tires with low pressure in snow. You dont wanna go down to the ground.

@MrOk69 You can google on: Volvo C303 or TGB 11 , 13, 20. There are only used cars available. Prices from 4000 dollars and up. Civilians are more rare and expensive.

Military has no winch and 24 V-system. As you will see there are also 6-Wheelers.

@MrDneisingh No, its not. Its a C 303. Also made as 6x6. Civilian or military. With portal axles, 1: 1.94 ratio (about) in the ends.

@livefreeordie42017 Here in Sweden. And ship them over.About 7- 8000 Dollars. Some of them in good shape. The military version in 24 V and has no winch. Civilian 12 V and a good mecanical winch. Also 6x6 is available. Civilian 6x6 are rare.

What a big difference having portal axles makes, the C303 mostly glides through the snow while the Bronco tends to push it. The Bronco does a respectable job though.
