Although German is not my mother tongue, I am a serious student of languages and accents. The announcer is speaking standard high German with the tapped "r", not the back of the throat North German uvular "r" which leads me to believe that he is from Bavaria or Baden Wuerttemberg.

I read some of the comments and as much as I also appreciate the beautiful countrysides & the customs, traditions & histories (the good) of Germany, Holland etc..I find Germans still speak their language and pretty proud of it as well. Most every one in the world says Holland, but I hate it too that always people thinks Holland and Germany are the same Country. Holland is soooooo beautifull and the germans are soooo arrogant. They didn't want speak english because they think german is the only language. My english is not very good but i am as the most Dutch people trying to learn, the germans didn't want to. When i am walking in Zeeland, a dutch province they dear to spreak German to my! I hate that! I am proud te be dutch!
