I think you're right though, i do fear that even though 2 nations will have powers, they will fight to control one another. As more countries who need guidance won't get it from India and China as they will be to fearful to do so. I think having US is a good thing to control someone. Well its actually the western nations that have the wealth while eastern nations and middle east is still in poverty. Although a lot of eastern nations are coming out of poverty in slow pace, they still need to provide healthy or wealth for their people. In Western nations case, however, i do agree, i don't know how much wealth do they need. I read some article from google that stated that Western nations have enough wealth to provide food and water for the entire world....and yet they don't.

This is correct. What I'm saying is that humanity, as a whole (this perspective is important), has craploads of wealth, so it doesn't need anymore. Yet so much of it has set up systems that are dependent on continual growth of wealth. The time for continual growth is over. What we need to do now is actually start putting it to use. Precisely as you mentioned, most wealth is locked up in a few rich countries. Within them it is in turn further locked up small portions of their populations.

I forgot to mention this regarding control. I think there is a need to control the world to some extent otherwise there would be total or somewhat choas in the world. Look at it this way, a country without a king, how long do you think people would last without some guidance. In a positive way, control is needed even if it's one country. If one country can do it the "right" way without pushing or shoving, then it can be achieved. In USA's case, a lot of countries are not happy.

Well that's difficult, i don't think any country would elect to put one country in charge. Believe me i argue with my mother all the time about this, but it's easier said than done. I think that's why United Nations was created, only 5 powerful nations would pretty much "protect" the world though that has failed. The best example i can give you is European union. EU has is economically free but politically they don't trust each other to run or make polices for entire EU. Continued....

Not sure if I'd agree the war in Afghanistan was "justified", or at least not what it turned in to: it seemed to morph from a campaign to get the terrorists who did 911 to a campaign to change governments and install American-style stuff in its place (that's the Imperialism showing up.) and now it just seems to be killing loads more innocents than terrorists. How was/is the opinion of the rest of the world on our actions there, anyway? Do they think we were a good guy for it or not?

I think you're are right that when we 1st went in Afghanistan it was for a purpose to eliminate al queda. Overtime, however, things have not gone well, but instead, innocent people and troops are dying in a 8 year war that should have not lasted this long. Iraq, on the other hand, was completely unjustified. We went there for oil purposes and didn't even find WMD. We currently don't have any strategy in Afghanistan, which is why it is critical to implement it now before more souls die.

Honestly i haven't heard anything negative about Iraq when compared to last year; i think it's doing somewhat well. I mean, it's not worse than Afghanistan though they recently went through terrorist attack. Overall, both are lost cause. USA can't say we made a mistake, but internally they regret declaring 2 wars. I won't argue if my info is wrong, i just haven't heard anything bad about it.

I think even if we get out of Iraq, we pretty much made a safe haven for al queda or interal wars they will go through with ethnic groups. We had support before (not in iraq but in afghanistan), but not anymore overall. Everyone wants us out, but we are pretty much stuck there. We are the only country along with Australia that are in Iraq now, everyone else has pulled out because of their own people rejecting them being there. Afghanistan, however, we have NATO there but it still isn't helping.

I actually think we'll hit a bottom and things will start to get better in November of this year. that's when the 3rd quarter reports go out and lots of buying and selling during Christmas time, but 3 things need to happened

1. Oil needs to stay below $75/barrel

2. The Dow Jones cant go below 7,000 points

3. The dollar needs to stay high (or at least hover in its current position).

If these 3 things hold by November then then We've seen the worst and things should get better. But thats just me
