As a teenager, I rode the train from JC to Eliz. several times in 1989-1991 and I still live along the track. The people that live along the track are NOT in favor of a walking trail. And since I can't stop it, ill ride my bike on it when I can. That will be nice. But don't be surprised if the neighbors build big privacy fences to keep people off their property.
