How fast is the film speed? It's 1000 frames/second according to the announcer. So 1000/60 will give determine how often we should see the Christmas tree flashing (16+ seconds) because the film is so much faster than the light, but that's not what we see. That was my point. Anyway, I thought it was interesting. Guess not so much.
