I'M 35 RECOVERING FROM SPINAL RECONSTRUCTION AND I REALLY MISS RIDING AND I REMEMBER I HAD TO GIVE UP MY 1988 HARO TO SAVE 2 FRIENDS AND MY SELF FROM DYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT BACK IN 2001. WE WERE 30 MILES FROM CIVILIZATION IN PECOS, TEXAS AFTER MY FRIENDS BOUGHT JUDGE ROY BEANS PROPERTY AND OUR CAR NEEDED TO BE JURY RIGGED BY CUTTING MY HARO APART WITH A HACK SAW BLADE AND MAKING A PART FOR THE CAR, WE WERE INVADED BY RATTLE SNAKES AND SPIDERS, SO I KNOW HOW IT IS TO GIVE UP YOUR LOVE
I have an old school Haro Master... Like 88-90 ... Somewhere around there anyways ...it's got the two top bars that spilt from the head set and it's Crome with the neon green freestyler sticker.... Z rims & a Gyro.... Diacomp locking levers ... And the old school Tioga rainbow chain, with the Odssey compact disc sprocket... ODI mushroom grips.. And bare foot tires....a true work of art ... I'll never get rid of it.... I'm 37 now
Man, that sucks! I feel bad for you that you had to sell it. I'm 44 and will never sell my bike...it's still fun to mess around on. I also ride mountain bikes a lot too now.
Good luck with the funds from here on out dude. Take care.
@SwagXcrossX - That depends on what you want to do; flatland or Urban / Park / Vert BMX style. Obviously there are different bikes for those kinds. If you have a bunch of money then see what the pros are riding and get something similar. On a budget then try to find one used, even if you have to have it shipped. If you aren't going to be dedicated long term (years) then don't go all out on a super expensive bike. Hope this helps.
Excellent frame whip at 1.19. Good riding all through. Shame you sold it. I'm 39 and back into freestyle riding after being away for 24 years. You should see the 1983 Haro Freestyler and 1984 Haro Master bikes - I love them! Thanks for posting the film.

How much you sell it for
aikea27 1 year ago
@aikea27 - Not enough!!! The economy was bad and it was too high end for the market. So I think it went for like $250. Augh!

I share your sentiments. I sold my bike back in 1995 to use the money for college.
