  • Just a man that was jamming, funkin, and a true classic of the 70's. Music that will never come back. Different era and time zone. Just pure great music. The artist's of the 70's just original. Nobody copied anyone. Old school of the 1970's and 1980's is still the best music and is timeless. It is just a shame the young kids today never here this music.

  • @firetko14 Music is timeless and ageless. It may not be as accessable as it should be, but kids today will hear what they choose to hear. Not everybody likes that garbage so called 'popular' music. There are great artists in all genres spanning from country to rap to jazz to classical. It's all about the souls of who is playing and what they are about. Check out some young cats like "Snarky Puppy" or "Dirk Quinn Band" or "Thundercat: Golden Age of the Apocalypse" or "Marco Benevento.

  • Poeple can't make it like this

  • back in the day when a negro was young a foolish this is the type of shit that we all got foolish to, and had fun, one of the all time party grooves. funk was alive and well way beyond anything you may hear today on the radio where pure creativity has died!

  • @majorgivens: You can say that again ! Can the kiddies rock it like this nowadays? I wish they could, but the radio leads me to say no, unfortunately... you shouldn't have to look for good music, we didn't. It was just there.

  • @majorgivens: talk to me quick !

  • @majorgivens there's still great creative music being made. but as you said, you won't find it on the radio. everything is indie and underground now

  • @majorgivens I know that's right! Back then, the brothers and sisters weren't afraid of the funk. We never FAKED the funk. The funk was just a pleasure part of our lives. The shit these kids are playing these days....OMG!

  • yea who cares

  • The best !!!!

  • @Gabepaullikegirls Yes it is brother!!

  • @Gabepaullikegirls: As I've mentioned several comments back, it's George Duke doing a very good impression of Bootsy Collins. Actually, most folks aren't aware, or have forgotten, that Bootsy himself is doing an exagerated imitation of Jimi Hendrix. That's why they used Bootsy's voice on a recent 2-hour documentary about Jimi Hendrix (on the Biography Channel).

  • its only play on the project ndugu drums vocal shelia e percussion and drums bryon miller bass guitar icarus johnson lynn davis background vocal

  • deeeeeeeeeeep in the funk you!

  • George Duke is an extremely versatile and accomplished entertainer. I don't know why P-Funk didn't last far longer than it did. It was an awesome sound when I was still clubbing. I love this and I loved everything George Clinton and his group did as well. Thanks for such an upbeat share with us!

  • It is bootsy, he and george duke both played with parliament.

  • Comment removed

  • @coxtechsoulutions: Nope! That's George Duke doing a very good impression of Bootsy. Bought the LP back in '78 and read it from cover to cover. Bootsy Collins was never on this album.

  • @coxtechsoulutions As far as I know, George never played with Parliament. Though, Bootsy was a well known session musician, he wasn't on the "Don't Let Go" LP.

  • ur buggin..thats def bootsy and the voice...if not they didin't even try to fake being exactly like him...but i sware this hs to be bootsy
