  • should I do a kind of these workout before or after my regular training ?????

    (I play Jiu Jitsu)

  • I'm consciously correcting my posture and now classmates are asking me why I walk like a bodybuilder haha.

  • @strengthcamp hey eliot how do i get as strong a gerald pilling look him up on youtube he is aa powerlifter who broke a record and he i my uncle

  • hey elliot one the second column what does es el eq meens

  • I got a question... When building muscle how ofton should you train a week? I have been doing 3 times a week because i heard that rest is important.... However i heard in this video that you instructed the guy to train 4 or 5 times.

  • @foxy1985xx Honestly, it depends on your body type. The reason this guy doesn't seem to know much (and why rest is VERY important) is because he doesn't mention CNS strain. Your CNS (Central Nervous System) may not be able to handle an intensive load. 4-5 times a week is intensive training. During training, its not your muscles that really needs rest, its your CNS. This will all determine how soon you have to deload and ease off

  • yo Elliot whats that song

  • hey man listen, do you know a good way or a martial art that is made to beat some one up?( more neccessary than self defence but will be good ofcourse), also i need to get stronger (i dont care about looking muscular)

  • YO ELLIOT, for 6x3 on the power movements, are you doing the same weight for six sets or progressively increasing the weight and hitting MAX on the 6th set?

Thanks man, this is an incredibly effective workout

  • ha ha love the sound track :).

  • This guy doesn't know anything. Upright rows?? Why would you hurt yourself like that. That's just asking for shoulder injuries. Also, the number of reps is pointless. 3-5 is the magic amount for true strength gains. He looks jacked but it's probably all sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, which isn't what you want for real strength. It's what you want for show muscles. Look up Frank Yang to see true strength

  • @gruntmasta r u serious? Frank Yang is a tool.

  • @OpenERP1 lol you're obviously a lifting noob. idk if you realize how much effort you have to put out to be an ectomorph and be that strong. he's a troll, not a tool. you on the other hand are a tool, and a weak on at best

  • @gruntmasta Why you defending Frank Yang so hard? You suck his dick or something? How did you make the assessment that I am a noob, simply by that one comment? I seen Frank Yang workout his technique is wack, he'll definitely get an injury one day you watch and see.

  • @OpenERP1 Why are you taking advice from this guy? He made up a new type of muscle fiber, claims we are basically more efficient than a cold fusion reactor, and "advises" people to do exercises that could tear muscles. His form for clean/jerks sucks and he sounds like a dumbass.

If you can't read between the line, what I really mean Frank Yang is trolling people and doing things because he can. This guy is serious about the bull. I'm not an advocate of Frank Yang, just against stupidity.

  • Thank you. i subbed

  • YOYOYO Elliott was wondering instead of the tireflips could i do explosive heavy deadlift? Cheers!

  • I'd love to hear you talk some theory about strenght training. I'm a martial artist and I'm not really looking for someone to tell me what routine to do, I'm looking for someone who can tell me the "science" behind strength training so I can make my own routines. And I am positive that you have great knowledge and expertice in this area. I'm not looking to gain muscle volume, I want to know what to think about to gain strength and speed.

Thank you and keep up the good work! =)

  • Your videos are great. Just watched a bunch of them. Packed with information and very clearly presented.

  • disliked the video in the first two seconds... why would you say that, dude looks jacked though

  • Your awesome and the vidoes are very informative! Keep up the great work! :)

  • yo elliot where is the actual video for how to tain for type 3 muscle fibers? ?

  • @TheRogueMonk There's no such thing. Elliot is the biggest bser I've ever heard. My source? I'm a neuroscience major.

  • @gruntmasta what is a bser?

  • whats the song on 7:39

  • @cookiemonst3r123 Justin Moore - I Could Kick Your Ass. Whole CD is good though

  • lol keep clicking @ 19 seconds. SHAMBO !

  • Yo elliot, I dig the asian beginning.

  • hey Elliot. i have a question for you. i am a normal 17 year old and i wanted to ask. Is there any way that i can get stronger. My classmates constantly trouble me and i try to fight them off. but there are 3 guys who dont ward off. pls help me.

  • damn dude your gym is awesome!

  • hey dude: I'm trying to go from 104kg to 120kg as a vegetarian... is it gonna happen? Your vids are really cool, but is meat a necessary for building big quick?

  • @LDP060681 Nope. Get the shakes in big boy.

  • I've got you mother f-!!!

    ;)

  • hey elliot. huge fan thanks for the vids. quick question, i play rugby and have a decent program already set out which is going really well. strength is increasing, power is increasing and conditioning is good. however i am struggling to gain any really significant mass. any tips? thanks

  • Hey I'm normally a really harsh skeptic when it comes to americans/football players making programs for rugby players, but this is incredible and covers almost everything. Thank you very much!

  • How sex starts

If you post this to 5 vids in 15 mins

  • yo elliot wat is redtt raise

  • Why does every cliched American start off with "YO, YO, YO"? If I wanted that, I'd play with a kid's toy instead.

  • Yo Elliot this looks like a great plan but I have one question. Wouldn't it be better to put the lower body day on Monday rather than on Wednesday because then you would have more time to recover for your explosive lower body workout on Friday?

  • yo elliot im a high school football player and we lift alot but im only getting bigger a little bit what kind of supplements should i take to get more protein i eat a balanced meal i eat alot of proteins but im still not gaing any more muscle. i hurd that if u run alot which i do durning practice that we sweat all of our water weight out and i hurd our muscles are 74 % water please help me i need to get bigger and stronger thanks

  • ELIOT i am 17 years of age and i have been we have a gym under our gym. i went down and worked out 3 times a day.. with a cable machine. they have no weights =.='' . I have been going for 3months and gained very little muscle. Is it ok to workout everyday?

  • no u need rest. and u definetley dont need to work out 3 times a day

  • hey man good stuff im thinking of using this

  • yo may i just say that this is the best video on youtube. I'm suprised it has only 13,000 views because it has a ton of good information for serious athletes.

  • Elliot, do u have any tips for regaining shoulder strength after suffering a shoulder stinger?

    thanks

  • hello elliot im from ireland i weigh 132lbs fairly lean and 5ft'8 i wanna be 165lbs ripped so i gonna give stronglifts 3x5 on mon -wed-fri.. and use a bad diet like pizza and burgers to get big and strong , then i do a ketoses diet to lose the fat gains fast. my only problem is my gym does'nt have 2.5lb plates to progress so i dont know what to do, also how much muscle do u think i could gain in about 5 months of doing this. also would swimming or running slow my muscle gains? thanks elliot(:

  • @steoyea please for the love of god dont use a bad diet like pizza and burgers that will get you no where fast. Get it through healthy fats, carbs and more calories, then youll build bulk not tub.

  • @Xanthism heyy thanks for the reply man, check out michael phelps he eats 12,000 kcal daily and is ripped i think a bad diet bulk is quicker at gaining muscle i know fat also but fat can be lost when the bulk is over, very fast on a keto diet . i feel a diet of about 5-6000 kcal works well alot of strongmen do it too. peace man

  • @steoyea phelps is ripped after 12k calories because he does more cardio in a day than you do in a month. Your not a strongman, your 5'8" 132ibs please use a diet for normal human beings not pro athletes

  • El ur vids fuckin rock bro

  • Hey Elliot I am 15 I was wondering if I am old enough to do weight training 5 days a week.

  • * how long

  • @strengthcamp do you do the circuit continually or do you rest and if you do how !! Would you recommend cutting rest to lose bf ??

  • oh my god lean hybrid muscle is bad ass i like the the way that you combine all diffrent strength methods but for the speed workouts what kinda exerises do you have to for that

  • NICE Justin Moore thrown in there ;)

  • Eliot Question here man. Is it a good idea to do the following routine

    Day 1Upper body

    day 2 Lower body

    day 3 Cardio

    Repeat

  • @Miamirules99 I know You're probably want an answer from Elliot but perhaps I can help. You see, different things work for different people. And one should never repeat one thing over and over again. confuse your body every week to get great results. example: first week you wanna do the "routine" you listed above. next week do push exercise on day 1 and pull on day two. don't stick with 1 routine every week. and try to do cardio on muscle building day and hiit on other days. and take weekend off

  • @B0MBALI9 Thanks mate very helpful. :)

  • @Miamirules99 Cardio should be everyday after or before your workout

  • Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo

  • Another quality production. Thanks Elliot.

  • YO ELLIOT!! dude got to say. Ran across your vids a few weeks ago and this one caught my eye so i stole it lol. Instead of doing it every other day i happened to do it all week (Monday is ex 1 tuesday is ex 2 so on and so forth). Top that off with your vid about supplements, and i gained 35 pounds in three weeks and my strength is un matched and cant wait to get better. You really helped me man. Thanks

  • YO ELLIOT! :-) I live a city where I don't have access to huge tires (except the one around my waist I'm trying to get rid of), you mentioned alternatives to such power exercises in your video, could you perhaps make a video of alternatives exercises that I could do at the gym, without being asked to leave, or hurting anyone else that is?

  • Hey Elliot, I got a question, I'm a bodybuilder and a powerlifter and I follow a 5 day mon-fri split, but I want to include some strongman/olympic lifts, should I do them on the weekends or include them into my bodybuilding routine?

  • @NJnaturalBB i would focus on your bodybuilding mostly and add some oly / strongman once a week or even everyother week for fun.

  • i'd say throw in some movements like a transverse squat / deadlift which will really help when tackling (some people may say they put your spine in the worst position and they're bad, but when are you ever in kinetic chain alignment with a neutral spine) so perform these exercises properly and you'll gain strength when rotating when tackling aswell as reduce risks of injury of your spin/lower back.

Paul Atkinson (rugby league for 6 years and training to be a personal trainer)

  • Elliot, what do you think about Stronglift's 5x5 program. Is it a good program to build mass and strength?

  • @TheMudbug400 yea, i like it.

  • the overhead press should it be seated or standing?

  • @theshaneaaron standing!

  • @strengthcamp thank you im all ready hella strong as it is lol but i like this routine so im going to give it a try

  • yo yoyo yoyoyoyooyoyoy <3

  • this is great i was actually going to message you awell because i play rugby aswell lol my position is flanker and lock. i was just about to ask you a question about what if you dont have the strongman training equip but then you answered my question lol. so this is great. great info dude

  • What's that ''I could kick your ass'' song?lol

  • @TehLightBlinds Justin Moore, I could kick your ass.

  • @TehLightBlinds Icould Kick your ass, Justin Moore

  • @TehLightBlinds I could Kick your ass, Justin Moore

  • HEY ELLIOTT, WHAT DO U THINK OF BROOKS KUBIK'S 5X5 TRAINING SYSTEM?

  • @aguilar69 AWESOME! I really like Brooks stuff.

  • This is one hell of an amazing workout, if you go too the gym and can use the right equipment.. unlike me!

Is there anyway you could make a workout video similar to this, using just a barbell & dumbells?

    Cheers Elliot

  • Instead of tire flips, the rugby plauers out there could do what i do, and grab a tackle bag from the rugby club and just use that

  • Would love to see a question from Schwarzenegger in his prime

  • thought that was fabregas lol

  • Elliot, STUPID QUESTION RIGHT HERE! :) haha, anyways, when you have 5 exercises, for example. And they are all 3 sets of 6, after one set of 6, are you meant to move down to the next exercise or are you supposed to wait and eventually do all the sets?

    Thanks man

  • @Rascal157 go from one move to the next for 3 rounds... so do a, then b, c, d each for 8-12 reps... then repeat.

  • Fuck me this guy is good!!

  • if you don't subscribe to this guy then you're a fool.. he's a real lifter with real knowledge and no BS fillers added in.

  • Yo Elliot just seen the video, are these workouts for all one training session or split up into different days?

  • @MrASURJ that would be one looong and fucked up training day LOL... nah, each column represents a day... its a 3 day split.

  • This dude has an incredible amount of knowledge when it comes to the world of bodybuilding. Thanks for sharing it with us Eddie!

  • @aMSkEes thanks :) but, um... it's ELLIOTT. yea. thanks though!

  • @strengthcamp hah...my bad =\

  • Great vid, very informative as usual.. the country music gets me everytime :)

    Have a great weekend Elliot

  • Awesome work again Elliott!

  • Thumbs up for the RUGBY player !!

  • You can say anything negative you want about Elliot here on You Tube....but remember, would you first say it to his face?!

  • @mrdave777 thanks mrdave! keyboard heroes hide behind the screen.

  • I might post a video question on your advise for working out on a night-shift working schedule.

I've been working night-shift for 2 years now and i'm finding it really hard to train and build some muscle.

Love your vids brov, i've learnt a lot from them. :)

  • You should try acting in a movie or something, you are very good to talk and teach

  • @nilllar thank you!

  • @strengthcamp can u give away your hybrid muscle pdfs for free for limited time

    i cant buy them

  • great vids!

  • @huntermuscle26 - thats cool... i have a way of making certain people uncomfortable. so, no hard feelings.

  • Yo elliot! thanks for replying to my video man. has been a lot of help. I thought i should be training something like that but was really good to get ideas confirmed and how to go about it. I'm definitely going to get some strongman training in if i can. with the farmers walk with heavy dumbbells how far should i be walking with them roughly?

  • @shambo99 try walking in a circle around your gym with the DBs as long as you can... then beat your time from week to week.

  • Yo Eliiott, you should make a soccer fitness training video....i like your training and wanted to know if you could make one for soccer

  • @ralphy799 eh... maybe :\

  • YEAH RUGBY VIDEO! good shit

  • I forgot how I stumbled onto your videos, but the only other guy I watch on here is Scooby, your videos are top notch too man, thanks for them.

  • @MaicoMoon thanks!

  • looks like a hard workout....what if u don't hav a big ass tire to lift?

  • @xph1l LIKE I SAY IN THE VIDEO -- use olympic lifts.

  • Crunk country music? I like it EL!

  • @MegaNorthMemphis I love country music... grew up on hip hop and reggae in NY but now i pretty much only listen to country. most rap actually makes me want to vomit now, weird!

  • I like the little tune in the beginning!! haha!!

  • Yo Elliot! I just ordered your lean hybrid muscle reloaded program, and I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out to see if it works for me, as I am pretty skinny. Anyway, my question is about the "maintenance workout" week. Are these exercises basically just bodyweight exercises or ones with little to no weight involved? Also, what type of meal plan should I be following with those type of workouts?

  • @jreily88 the maintenance program is a BEAST bro... use barbells and dumb bells and real weight. Follow The Hybrid Diet bro!

  • @strengthcamp

okay, thanks! So, the workouts and meal plans go hand in hand, meaning during the maintenace phase, I follow the bodybuilding meal plan?

  • @strengthcamp

okay, one more question. If I am following the 3000 calorie meal plan, and the 1900 calorie plan for the first 2 days is incorporated with it, like it is with all the other meal plans, does that mean that for the first 2 days, I should only be consuming around 1900 calories, no matter which calorie plan I am following?

  • i've played rugby for 6 years now, i'd say its less about the weights you lift in training, but the weight of what you've got dangling in your shorts, if you've not got the balls to run hard and tackle harder, all the resistance and speed training in the world wont help you, but then again this looks a great program :) good work

  • @ako541 Being strong is crucial in rugby, look at the style of player dominating the game at the moment.

  • @ako541 "the weight of what you've got dangling in your shorts" -- that is GREAT!! haha!

  • @ako541 but the weight that you lift in training will make you more confident to do things you wouldn't have normally done otherwise.

  • @ihavemonkeysinmybutt yeah i agree, your right it is a good psychological advantage, my point was though i've played against and with several people that lifted insane weights but didn't have the bottle to play well whilst ive played with people who've never lifted weights and have the heart of a lion and will run at and tackle anything

  • thanks, man

  • wow you really hooked this dude up lol.....bet he is glad he made a vid

  • Suuuch a sick video man thanks so much.

  • great great video

  • Elliot, just letting you know your point about grip is VERY important in rugby, whether it's ripping the ball in a maul, or keeping a hold on the ball in a tackle when others try to rip the ball from you, grip plays a massive part.

great video will be trying these workouts.

  • yo elliot, i live in norway and have always been pretty small, and kinda picked on by my friends. i was wondering what is a cheap diet to get bigger quick combined with a workout routine that will get me bigger, when i have access to a gym 3 times a week?

  • @crazynorwegianviking lol raw eggs and bench press

  • @crazynorwegianviking did you watch the video....

  • so the heavier with smaller reps (3-6 reps), the more power gained? and the more reps with moderate weight (8-12 reps) the more muscle build?

  • @i0nPuNk182 basically, yea!

  • @i0nPuNk182 my coach has always told me that wen u do heavy weight for less reps it's more muscle gain and more muscle build and then wen u do less weight for more reps its toning the muscles..

  • @xph1l that's what i thought too when i first watched this video, but maybe its different with circuit training?

  • @xph1l Doing exercises in the 1-6 rep range produces predominately strength and power gains. 8-12 rep sets produce more hypertrophy, or muscle size gains. Anything above that starts to use different energy systems and trains predominately metabolic and endurance qualities.

  • SUCH an informative video!! Thanks for all of your helpful tips & advice!

    TheAbStand*net

  • Elliot what is the difference between strength and power?

  • @UltimateHibz Strength is the total weight moved, and power is moving weight fast.

  • @sammcl16890 good answer!

  • @UltimateHibz my take is that Strength is how much you can lift, Power is how explosively you can do it.

  • @UltimateHibz Strength is like when you lift something and take as long as you like. But power gives you an explosive movement to lift quicker.

  • @shanny064 IMO
