  • If the ten commandments are so important though, why didn't he mention things like rape, child molestation, and slavery? You could fit the first three into one single commandment.

  • well, if u want to go in the direction He prescribed, u will work six days.

  • @TheReubenDean

Exactly, & rest in the 7th day of the calendar, I just said he could rest an extra day, because many people say they worship every day, confusing worship with Sabbath, you see when we work we don't worshiping God less than we do on the Sabbath, after all we are Christians the whole week, none the less the one he made holy, we cannot void, unless we make ourselves like the most high, Isaiah14:14, then we could pick our own different holy day Dan.7:25, but wouldn't that be in vain?

  • continue---> ... One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind."

  • Hebrews 7:12. Galatians 4:9-11. Colosseans 2:16

  • @bluefish704

By these verses I take you are implying that the Passover lamb law which is a shadow of Christ it is the same with the ten commandments, but if you read carefully you will see clearly that the ten commandments are not a shadow but instead they are reaffirmed in the new testament by being inscribed in the human hearth by the holy spirit, colosians 2 talks about the added traditions mixed with the real commandments but were not inspired by the holy spirit cont->

  • ->cont That is why Jesus said that people who do that “invalidated the commandments of God” teaching doctrines of man as if they were inspired. : )

  • @bbbckcal Col. 2:16 is makes it very clear that one is under no obligation to keep the Sabbath. Now, I agree that the sanctification of Sunday is of pagan origin, so I don't hold it to be sacred either. The invalidation of the word of God was the product of human tradition. But Jesus and Paul, since they had divine authority, were fit to declare the "second phase" of the divine plan for salvation. . . Hebrews 8:7-13.

  • @bluefish “Every plant my heavenly father has not planted, will be pulled up by the roots”[Mat.15;8-9], also God blessed the Sabbath:Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day & set it apart” [Exodus20:11] & the blessing cannot be discarded “I have received a command to bless; HE HAS BLESSED, and I cannot change it” [Numbers 23:20], the Sabbath was instituted not only for the Jews but for all mankind “The Sabbath was made for man” [Mark2:27]

Paull said “there remain a sabbatismos [sabbath]Heb4:9

  • @bbbckcal Rom. 7:6 "But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound...". Again, Gal. 4:10,11... "Ye observe days, and months, and seasons, and years. I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have bestowed labor upon you in vain." And... Rom. 14:4,5 Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. . . continue--->

  • @bluefish704 Rom7:6 talks about the rituals that came with Israel, but keep in mind the Sabbath existed long before Israel.

Don’t trust man or your own opinion before God: [psalm146:3,proverbs3:5]Let God be true, and every man a liar [ Romans3:4] God established the Sabbath [exodus20:8-11]so it’s the one we must observe, know if you want to add an extra day on your own that’s up to you, but you should at least obey-go in the direction he prescribed : )
