  • I love sloths. I just want to cuddle them.

  • @ hannahgalbraith: Evolution hasn't forgotten anybody - just have a look at yourself.

  • its just trying to hug his invisible friend

  • Evolution forgot every animal, since it doesn’t exist outside the imagination.

  • 1:08 1:20 what was the point of that? Also, very weird way to end a video

  • Wow ffirst time i see a creature like this ... nature indeed amazing

  • Sloths don't give a single fuck, at any place, on any time. Therefore, they actually are the pinnacle of evolution. We, humans, are so far from them, and even the most capable of our species still keep this awful and unskillful behavior of giving a fuck once in a while. And dolphins aren't much better either.

  • "Dedicated to the Animals Evolution Forgot "

Are you kidding? Sloths are the pinnacle of evolution.

  • 0:58

    "FUCK YO CRACKA NIGGA"

  • Today was my first time seeing sloths.. I've never heard about them. They're so awsome and mysterious.

  • Uh don't dis my sloths, they got skills boiieeee .

  • AHAHAHAH SID YOU DAWG!!! OH MADE MY DAY! Been watching Sloth vids all day, and I am surprised that this is the first Sid recognition yet.

  • Novel about an alternative view of evolution see video book trailer

  • sloths arent poorly adapted the have small regeneration abilities and are adapted to live in thick rainforest until peole cutted thouse evolution didnt forget them we did.

  • @miguelsaurio55 The difference between poorly adapted and greatly adapted is that an advanced species (like ourselves) can withstand diverse climates, we can hunt for food, we can gather food, heck we can make it. We can survive without the help of another animal. Poorly adapted is that it cannot survive in any circumstance that does not include high in a tree in a rain forest. This animal IS poorly adapted.

  • @chrispiano45 "Poorly adapted is that it cannot survive in any circumstance that does not include high in a tree in a rain forest. This animal IS poorly adapted."

Actually, since the animal lives "high in a tree in a rain forest", that makes him perfectly adapted. Would you say that because a whale can't live on land it's poorly adapted? No. It's adapted for the sea.

The word for what you're describing is "stenoece". This animal is stenoece. Not "poorly adapted". By opposition, we're euryece.

  • The only animals evolution forgot are called "HOMOSAPIENS"

We are the only creatures that don't care to protect our species for the future!

    Every other animal does!

  • Sloths...are....ace!!

  • At 2:02... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!

  • @ienjoymakingbeats I don't see how the word "masochist" fits in there anywhere...also, you may need to take a look at our world today, how many people would rather put more time into charging their cell phone instead of making a difference by helping something or someone that needs the support? It's a sad world we live in.

  • sloths actually have cells that can cause parts of themselves to grow back, if anything evolution forgot about us hahaha

  • 0:16-0:30 Sobriety test fail

  • @94jg your comment just made my day. granted, crappy day, but still :D

  • Strange title for the video since sloths are some of the very best adapted animals to their environments!!When humans destroy the rain forest, sometimes sloths travel between trees by dragging themselves on the ground by their claws since they can't walk. But they're remarkably agile in the trees, and researchers have recently discovered sloths run upside down along branches.Three-fingered sloths have 9 neck vertebrae, more than the giraffe! But thank you Latoya for speaking for the sloths!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • They have evolved as long as we have, LOL

  • I need a new stoner buddy... where do i get one! XD

  • Did anyone else want to take the sloth of the concrete... seemed uncomfortably to me.

  • evolution didnt forget him he just envolved to be good at climbing TREES and move slowly so animals cant notice it :)

  • @empv2 I would agree I would say they are pretty well evolved for what they need to do.

  • reminds me of the actual film clip to this song

  • you are wrong in saying they have no neck--There are eight or nine neck vertebrae (most species of mammal, even giraffes, have seven). This allows the head to be turned with a considerable range, an important advantage for an animal with otherwise rather limited flexibility. The testes are internal. There are no incisors or canine teeth .

  • 0.21 duuude... i'm so fucking stoned

  • SHLAAAAWWWWWTH!!!!!

  • i like the way there cute little faces have these content little smiles on them. They dont have a care in the world cos they dont have to and they laze around all day doin hardly nothing and watching the world go by, I wish I could live like that! They are great! I like sloths!

  • What beautiful gentle creatures.

  • I love sloths. I know they're slow and a little retarded, but we could learn something from their intense contentment with life. People who walk idly by creatures in need of rescue from our man-made intrustions to their habitats are pretty at loss for a heart as far as I'm concerned.

  • @maydayparka Sloths are not "retarded." It is just that we only see them in man's environment. There are often confused and frightened.

  • lol.. classic. sloths, natures little battlers.

its supposed to be funny. fuckin poindexters.

  • they are my favorites right after turtles

  • Dedicated to the Animals Evolution Forgot?

damn, i thought wed see pictures of people:D

the thing we have is intelligence, and i can`t even write that right-.-

    damn, where are our wings??

  • i love the first guy. it looks like his singing :)

  • @MrRappen Naw, he was gettin CRUNK!

  • god whoever made this video has some creepy fantasies...

  • The last image just fucked up the whole atmosphere of the video

  • @Eagle661 Agreed.

  • @Eagle661 Agreed. :p

  • All I can think when I see this is 'Help the poor thing to the trees!' but then I laugh because they're so cute when they topple over. ^^

  • oh my word they are so unbelievably cute!!

  • I'm glad to see that you have an appreciation for the sloth. However, you seem to be confused about evolution's role in their existence. They're far from "poorly adapted." They are actually VERY well adapted to their environment. Your images are almost entirely of sloths in very UNnatural settings (on a paved street, wallowing in gravel, in a bed, etc.). Put them up in a tree, and you'll see an animal perfectly suited for that environment. Their main problem is human encroachment.

  • Repeated frames ftw?! 8D

Anyways, I find sloths uberly creepy. D: THEY BE STARIN' INTO YO SOUUUL.

  • Sloths swim faster than they climb and crawl.

They also have evolved grooves in their hair that leaves room for algae to grow for camouflage. They are very evolved, just in a very different way than people.

  • they evolve too..their final evolution is slaking it has a few attacks yawn, rage, etc

  • Comment removed

  • god fucked up.....bigtime -.-

  • i dont get the point of this video nor do i understand the importance of sloth awareness. they arnt on the verge of being extinct are they? plenty of other animals doing that so why not give them a "voice"? not trying to be cruel. just sayin

  • its a joke.

  • I'm just wondering what survival pressure pushed this species to evolve into "drunk homeless guy" to secure its future.

Nature lol. You couldn't make it up.

  • Pathetic how are they surviving?

  • sloths are my new favorite animal

  • So cute! When the sloth in the first clip fell over, I wanted to jump into the screen and help it up. <3

  • lol?

  • whats up with the sloth at the start

  • @elliotcarroll456 its drunk 8D

  • Uh. That's heartbreaking.

  • theres one thing i dont get

are they slow like that becasue they're born like that

or do they do that for like hiding reasons

  • Did it die?

  • Erhh why is the sloth on the road? And what has no necks?

  • That's quite the sloth at 1:11..he has "lazy" written all over him

  • consider this... sloths are made to best suit their environment, like all animals. lazy tree creatures... reason for "laziness" is there is not much to do in trees and why not save energy and hang all day... so take them out of the trees... you get those videos and pictures

  • that guy is totally gay

  • I think you people need to learn the definition of the word "retarded".

  • WANTWANTWANT

  • cool and cute creature :)

  • these creatures seem so pitiful...

  • 1:11 They aren't so different than us

  • So do these things have no natural enemies? I notice they are quite slow and probably wouldn't get away from a jaguar before it gets eaten alive.

  • they survive by hanging from branches completely still and they move so little that moss can grow on their fur, so they camouflage themselves in the trees. Their slowness is the very thing that keeps them alive.

  • this song actually goes with the vid lol first time on youtube it does

  • HES SO CUTE I WANT 1!

  • wait so these things are real?

  • i think sloths are amazing, just as all creatures are. thanks for the info section - people need to educate themselves about animals if they are to understand them.

  • Sloth luvvvv <3333

  • Dedicated tot he animals that God didn't much care about.

  • splicing your friend in the video... EFFING HILARIOUS!!!

  • hehe 0:25 "heey look at me everyone! ooh damnit ..... a little help please ? " ;xD

  • hehe 0:25 "hey look at me ! oh damnit... someone help ? " ;D

  • the noobs of the wildlife.

  • NO NECKS!? POOR CREATURES :( he deserves cake :(

  • doode those things' faces are fuckingscarry!!! wTF~!!!

  • this is gay,

  • give him some trees to climb in :D

  • Nothing is really wrong with it you realize. That's how they move when they are on the ground. They are tree animals. Why do you think they have those HUGE claws? They are just not used to walking, but climbing. And they are only so slow because the things they eat have very low nutrition. Like koalas and pandas. And evolution didn't forget them. In fact they're very closely related to anteaters and armidillos.

  • Koalas run all the time mate. Quite vicious too.

  • but you have to admit. Their bodies are built climbing. Definately not for walking.

  • Well yes that's true.

  • exactly. Who wants to walk on there own claws? Not me....

  • lol in the beginning hes singing xD

  • wait a second!!! sloths don't have necks!!! well then.. ice age failed... big time!!!

  • I feel so guilty.

  • LMAO, that was an epic ending

  • I love those poor sloth's so much! They r so cute!!!

  • What a retarded animal...

  • @60Swend60 fuck u humans r retarded

  • your a human dumbass

  • Lol , did you just say humans are fuckin retarded? go fuckin kill yourself you are 1

  • @serzh123aaa And why aren't we retarded? We destroy the place we live in, a place that does not need us and a place that we're lucky to have been allowed to live on. We pillage kill and fight our own families. I don't think that person's comment is very far from the truth now is it?

  • @seaserpant05 You're still not really understanding what retarded means you dirty bastard

  • humans are retarded, what is intelligence worth, if we lack the common sense to use it? What is sympathy for, if we care not for nature and the animals? What does this age of information matter, if all humans care about are fads and material things? Humans are indeed stupid, that's a fact.

  • @Cybrisk well said!! I'm going to quote this!! thanks for that.

  • @Cybrisk

To quote Einstein, "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

  • @Cybrisk

    i think that's a bit of a generalism.

  • @foxmcloud555 you mean generalization. An proved his point.

  • @Eunnette

you're right. i did mean generalization. but i hardly think that an error of that sort underimines the whole of humanity.

surely having no faith in our species as a whole would actually be detrimental to the cause the original poster is trying to promote?

  • @foxmcloud555 Please, (insert eye-roll) get off your high horse. Humanity is retarded. Our species thinks it's so great, when it's no better than the next species.

And what do you think the original poster was trying to promote? What I got from that was: the sloth from Ice Age is scary.

  • @Eunnette

if you think we're that worthless, stop complaining and do somthing about it. i am so sick of people saying "oooh but the cuddly wuddly animals dont destroy THEIR environment".

well i got news for you, they do. and if they had the means to do what we do then you can be sure the whole planet would be gone by now.

ours is the only one that actualy tries to go against it's nature. you want to find me a species more inteligent that ours? go ahead.

  • @foxmcloud555 Uh, what? Your argument has obvious logic fail. We are more intelligent than animals because we destroy what sustains our lives? That makes perfect sense. Also when did I ever say animals are better than humans? I simply said that humanity is not superior any any way to an elephant or to an ant. Just because we know how to write and we know how to destroy trees doesn't mean we're better. Dumbass.

  • @foxmcloud555 i know right. wtf?!? this is the weirdest video and people responding to it. how is a beaver making a damn different than a human building a home? some strange fags indeed

  • Comment removed

  • im pretty sure this video was a joke, and so was your response. if they werent jokes, then i must say there are some crazies out there. "humanity is retarded. our species thinks its so great, when its no better than the next species." go tell that to your friends the tigers and see what they think about you. lunatic

  • @Cybrisk then you're stupid

  • @Cybrisk what you don't realise is that compared to the animals we have come a very long way because the truth is animals don't care for each other at all whereas at least there are some humans that give a damn about the planet. you have to compare us as earthlings not humans to see what we really are. humans will never be ideal because there will never be a time where EVERYONE is at the ideal state and even when we're close that'll only push the ideal even further. be proud, earthling

  • @myshoescramp animals do care for each other. Ive seen mothers fight for their cubs, siblings in a litter protect and bathe each other, families of animals huddling under the same shade. They show and possess more care than most of us humans do nowadays, which is a sad thing.

  • @Cybrisk you must live in the worst neighbourhood in the world if that's what you think because where I come from people have morals. morals that tell us to help those in need and to even feel heartbroken in sight of the extremely unfortunate.

and allot of animals care for their own kind this is true, but how many care for the other species?

  • Comment removed

  • @bjpw1234 animals don't pollute the planet because they can't, not because they don't choose too. selfishness is not limited to humans look up "donkeys lions" and in the first video you'll see that.

the reason for animals being healthy for the planet is not because they care for it, it's because they've been living with the same lifestyles for millions of years and in that time mother nature could develop the circle of life by killing off everything that didn't fit and evolving the rest.

  • @myshoescramp Well, that's what I meant. Animals don't pollute the planet because they can't. That's kind of obvious. But the point is that they don't destroy the planet, whatever the reason may be. We became more advanced, and had the option to help this planet, but instead we decided to hurt it. I'm not saying animals are perfect, because nothing's perfect. But I just think that humans have done more destruction than construction on earth.

  • @bjpw1234

ofcourse we have done more destruction, its only recently that the world can appear small enough for us to even have an impact, a few hundred years ago the world was a huge place. And i dont think we 'decided' to hurt the Earth, thats retarded. each of us has an instinct to provide for ourselves and our families on a small scale, call it greed but it kept us alive once. its just that once there was enough of us taking what we can it does make an impact. But people are starting to see.

  • @Cybrisk Amen brothah..... wait i'm not christian....

I also wanted to help those poor sloths on the road

  • @Cybrisk the most common sense i've heard in a long time

  • @Cybrisk So sadly true...

  • @Cybrisk Run for congress. We need someone like you

  • @Cybrisk if so than....YOUR NOT HUMAN!!!AH

  • @Cybrisk like u

  • Comment removed

  • @60Swend60 just like your mom

  • And God said "oh fuck it, lets make it as slow as possible"

  • why did it just keel over :') lol i love sloths there cute

  • they are sooo creepy!!!!

  • this is like feeling sorry for a dog cuz they dont have hands, or feeling sorry for a mole cuz they cant see, thats my opinion, and this is nature, the strongest one survive

  • So we shouldn't help biodiversity and kill all we want since we are the strongest, right?

  • we're the smartest not the strongest and killing everything is just stupid

  • ok. Just take it when the aliens come then.

  • 1:08 hahahhahahaha

  • lol these sloths look hilarious

  • Are you drunk or just stupid????? Why would you wish suffering on any other creature???? Have you no compassion???? Fuck God!!! I will attribute you ignorance to youth; please educate yourself!!!!

  • Sorry; "your" not "you"...I hate typos.

  • ok........but, what the hell? is it the norm to randomly attack people for no reason now?

  • and.... you wish other life forms should suffer for your amusement???????WTF??????

  • are you kidding!

lol this was because i said they were hilarious.... FINE their ugly and depressing, feel better now?

  • Maybe s/he's assuming that you're laughing at the struggling sloth at the begining? I know I was, I don't want to see animals suffering, but that was funny.

  • They're not suffering, this is how sloths move when they come to the floor. Rather than being an 'animal which evolution forgot' sloths are a perfect example of adaptive evolution. They are now so well adapted to aboreal life that they look slow, awkward and.....hilarious when they attempt to move on the ground!

  • Nicely put.

onecoffee, please don't troll on the simplest of comments.

  • schlong is O-U-T

  • IM WELL NAKED

  • What kind of an animal is that from 1:08 to 1:20.

    It's a sloth :/

  • Dunno but its really creepy and scary... LOL

  • hahahaha. lawl @ the comments (: it really is very strange...

  • that was the stupidest thing i've ever seen. WTF?

  • This is a truly inspiring piece of film. The melancholy tones of the music really add to the misery of the poor misunderstood sloths. The mise-en-scene is sparing and your eyes are therefore drawn to the sloths crawling on the ground, making it a very emotional watch. Truly heart breaking stuff, give your mom Latoya a pat on the back from me.

  • jabcom is the youtube account of the sloth at 1:08 to 1:20 :D

  • they suppose to live on the trees. but where are the trees. thats the sad part.

  • wtf - why are ppl watching this???

  • Oh really? Well don't let the foundation of life on earth hear you...cyanobacteria are TOUGH and over 3billions years old. As for the moon bit...that theory is SO 20th centrury and oh so false.

  • ariannxd123, are you being serious? I hope you die, seriously...

  • awh poor sloths but um this videos weird

  • What kind of an animal is that from 1:08 to 1:20. Evolution skipped that poor thing.

  • LOL!

  • Imagine how these fuckers will look in 4 million years.

  • there wont be an earth in 4 million years.

  • @hopingforhope Yes there will, there just will not be any humans on it.

  • WRONG. There will be an earth, it might not be supporting life anymore, and it will probably have a new moon(s). The moon is in fact a chunk of the earth that was blown off by a previous meteor strike.

  • jackass

  • :49-1:07 natural ghillie suit. Plus he knows not to take food from humans because then humans think they own you.

I think they are a warning to take life a little slower. Laugh slower eat slower. Just kind of hang out and enjoy life while you can. What's the hurry?
