Put them up in a tree, and you'll see an animal perfectly suited for that environment. Their main problem is human encroachment.
They also have evolved grooves in their hair that leaves room for algae to grow for camouflage. They are very evolved, just in a very different way than people.

@Cybrisk what you don't realise is that compared to the animals we have come a very long way because the truth is animals don't care for each other at all whereas at least there are some humans that give a damn about the planet. you have to compare us as earthlings not humans to see what we really are. humans will never be ideal because there will never be a time where EVERYONE is at the ideal state and even when we're close that'll only push the ideal even further. be proud, earthling

@myshoescramp animals do care for each other. Ive seen mothers fight for their cubs, siblings in a litter protect and bathe each other, families of animals huddling under the same shade. They show and possess more care than most of us humans do nowadays, which is a sad thing.

@bjpw1234 animals don't pollute the planet because they can't, not because they don't choose too. selfishness is not limited to humans look up "donkeys lions" and in the first video you'll see that.
the reason for animals being healthy for the planet is not because they care for it, it's because they've been living with the same lifestyles for millions of years and in that time mother nature could develop the circle of life by killing off everything that didn't fit and evolving the rest.

@myshoescramp Well, that's what I meant. Animals don't pollute the planet because they can't. That's kind of obvious. But the point is that they don't destroy the planet, whatever the reason may be. We became more advanced, and had the option to help this planet, but instead we decided to hurt it. I'm not saying animals are perfect, because nothing's perfect. But I just think that humans have done more destruction than construction on earth.

ofcourse we have done more destruction, its only recently that the world can appear small enough for us to even have an impact, a few hundred years ago the world was a huge place. And i dont think we 'decided' to hurt the Earth, thats retarded. each of us has an instinct to provide for ourselves and our families on a small scale, call it greed but it kept us alive once. its just that once there was enough of us taking what we can it does make an impact. But people are starting to see.

They're not suffering, this is how sloths move when they come to the floor. Rather than being an 'animal which evolution forgot' sloths are a perfect example of adaptive evolution. They are now so well adapted to aboreal life that they look slow, awkward and.....hilarious when they attempt to move on the ground!

This is a truly inspiring piece of film. The melancholy tones of the music really add to the misery of the poor misunderstood sloths. The mise-en-scene is sparing and your eyes are therefore drawn to the sloths crawling on the ground, making it a very emotional watch. Truly heart breaking stuff, give your mom Latoya a pat on the back from me.
