  • This video really hits home, we lost a brother about 2 months...and the service was nearly identical

  • "eulogy"

  • I am a firefighter and i feel the same way that if someone needs help that i would do what ever possible to help them in there time of need because when they dial 911 we are the only one's that can help them and i respect everything about the job that we all do and TO ALL FALLEN HERO'S WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU...."THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE".This movie has touched me and it plays in my head over and over."this goes out to FF JACK MORRISON THANK YOU AND MAY YOU REST IN PEACE"

  • being a WV firefighter this hits home and made me tear up. great movie

  • to be honest this made my cry

  • being a texas fireifghter/emt this scares me to death i would hate for my family to have to go through this

  • this part of the movie always hits home with me great movie & i love being a firefighter. Stay Safe to all my fellow brother & sister firefighters all over

  • "Why is it, that firefighters run into a burning building when everyone else is running out?"

Because that's where our mission is.

    David, Beaverfork VFD.

  • @Detschman74- my dad told me that i like yours also...

A resposta é CORAGEM

  • my dad has been a firefighter for 18 or 19 years now, and when i watch him run into a burning house to save someone that he cares for other people more then he thinks about himself which is good in a way and i look up to him...and thats why i asked him to help me trainning 2 years ago.....and he treats me like every other person he trains..he doesnt treat me differently because im his daughter or anything.....so for people that wanna become a firefighter go for it its hard but its well worth it

  • well said jamesff151 well said that pare made my hole crew cry its never an easy thing to do when a fello firefighter and friend dies but its the job we must face this every day every hour every call we respond to

  • i cried in this movie, saddest movie ive ever seen

  • i hao

  • I have been a firefighter for over eight years now. It is the most rewarding thing I do. I am on a volunteer department so you know Its not for the pay. There has been two fires where I almost didn't make it back from and almost lost my S&R partner (who is like a brother to me) on a three story fire. We all know and accept the risk. But I would have to say that saving anther's life is well worth it. It also teaches my kids that they have to give back to their community.

  • @mgbarker90 thats awesome brother, my sons, all 3 cant wait to join!

  • hehehe g

  • <|3 they said the SAME thing at my dads funeral, he was in the movie. &died the year after it came out. i hate fire, it took my daddy from me .

  • one day the FF hops off the rig, enters a burning building, and some..... may not return , my older brother was injured last month Chicago FD Tk 45 and responded to a completely flameing house completely engulfed in flames, they did a primary search and he found a kid in the basement but then part of the roof collapsed and he injured his back and had some burns but saved the kids life

  • im in training right now, everyone tells me im crazy for wanting to get on in chicago. no way id ever stay in the suburbs, and i can't wait unti lit's my time for the CPAT

  • its not hard and there is no bonus for fast take your time and do it right

  • @Detschman74 there is a saying the firehouse " risk alot to save alot" i think everyone should go by that

  • @sis1095 risk none to save none, risk a little to save alot, risk alot to save a life is the version i always gone by but yours is good to and i'm talking about the CPAT

  • if u actually get on the CFD, try to get assigned to Truck Co. 45s Qtrs, SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! my older brother used to be assigned there and is relocated to Eng 73s qtrs

  • I'm not a firefighter, but I'm an EMT and I work alongside brave men and women like these all the time. I've lost two colleagues in the field in the past 3 years and I've had several others injured, one of which was recently and was critical. Watching this movie I was hit so close to home by everything that I can't even think about it without crying. I really commend all of those FF's, EMT's, LEO's and soldiers out there.

  • i am a fire fighter with humberside fire and rescue in the uk and it is a hard job to do and it is hard when you lose one of your friends and colleagues it is hard but we get out there on the engine do the job and honor them.

This film also made made me cry when i watched it .

  • this is my favorite movie of all times and when i get out of school im going to be a firefighter!!!!!!

  • Keep on that path. It will be tough. Lots of training, hard work, courage, and commitment will be needed. Stay safe and God Bless Future FireFighter Brother

  • how old are you??

  • i'm a volley junior and i love it

  • I was a FF for 2 1/2 years in West Hempstead FD on L I 7th Bn.I loved it every minute being on that truck. I felt fortunate to have the opportunity to do it for the time I did. I will always be a Firefighter. When 911 happened I cried like a baby being from NY and having been a Firefighter and Reserve Police Officer I cried for my brother and sisters. It is a calling and would gladly run into a burning building for free again. Seper Pradus. Always Former FF.T"The Hammer" Dolin #138

  • Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear. - Ambrose Redmoon

    God bless.

  • Damn this hits home, and it hits harder when the big qusetion is asked, WHY IS IT THAT A FIREFIGHTER RUNS INTO A BURNINGBUILDING - WHEN EVERYBODY ELSE IS RUNNING OUT? I can only answer by saying this: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

  • amen

  • @jamesff151 amen

  • @jamesff151 ur right it def hits home everytime i get to this part of the movie i always wanna cry & my fellow firefighters in delaware county in PA use john 15:13 for our good buddy mike reagan who was killed in the line of duty

  • @jamesff151 Dislike simply because you brought the bible into this

  • @Tsl243 whatever!

  • @jamesff151 Couldn't have said it better myself! And don't listen to the naysayer who didn't like your comment.

  • @jamesff151 i knw right

  • Hoghunter and ish, you guys are seriously going to argue over something on a funeral vid? You two would fight at a funeral, love the trailor park remark by the way, both of you should stay off youtube, some of us have to go to this "event" in real life, and trust me - theres no fun in it! May God be with all my brothers and sisters out there - AND UP THERE!

  • so very true this is the life and job we choose to do Rest in peace my brothers

  • my heart just sank when i listened to this. when my brother decided to rent this on my fams movie night i figured how stupid. my presprective changed ENTIRELY, i cried so hard. the only movie i ever cried to. and this is just hard letting go to sombody so brave like this man, and this movie made Joaquin Phoenix my FAVEOURITE actor EVER,

  • ode to my fallen brothers!

  • My worst nightmare is the chief's truck pulling up to my house and having someone other than my dad driving it. (My dad is a fire chief.) That car would mean that either my mother, father, brother, sister, uncles, aunts, or my grandfather had been killed. I come from many generations of firefighters and I remember every funeral I have ever been to for a firefighter. It never gets easier. Bless all firefighters.

  • 2 firemen died a few wks ago by my house. so sad i cried

  • Why the hell would you wait for it??

  • What r u talkng about holmes?

  • This kid down here below me said that hes waiting for the day that red car shows up to tell him one of his family members died.

  • No shit bro, we all hope it never happens, wait for it hell? They better be giving me a ride home cuz my truck broke or some shit!

  • Hahah nicely put. Are you a firefighter??

  • Yes sir, FF/EMT, Lexington KY FD! 3yrs, and yes this movie make me more proud of this position everytime I see it!

  • Well good luck and may god be with all your brothers in your department. I'm only 14 but one day I hope to be a firefighter

  • Thanks man, lil advice to ya, stay in school man, get that diploma and hell start traing now man, I mean watch vids on here ask questions, hit me up anytime, and do some physical training as well: load you a sturdy back pack with somw weights (sand, books , ect.) and run the stairs til you cant go anymore as one example! be cool bro, later! One person decides if your going to be a firefighter: YOU!!

  • Thanks hopefully the Air Force will help.

  • Any miltary is a plus on firefighting!

  • Thanks alot.

How long have you been a firefighting?

  • 3 years, 1 year as a "probie" (probationary firefighter), and yes you will have jokes played on you, and you will be tested, both mentally and physically! But bottom line, when the bell rings: YOU GO ALL BUSINESS! The high you get is amazing, I hate to see or hear flames showing due to the fact that someone is in danger and losing their possesions and roof over their head, but it is an awesome feeling when you arrive and face hells fury and save their property.

  • Thanks for everything..

Good luck in everything you do.

  • No problem bro, Good luck on getting into firefighting, man stay in school, and visit your local fire dept. talk to the guys and just hang out sometime with em, hell we always welcome anyone! Peace bro!

  • this was one of the most touching movies i've ever seen. it made me cry, i'll admit that. great speech. sad song.

  • we are like no other group out there we are a big family we are alwas giving a hand to those who need it the most. in some cases we may lose our life. we never ask for anything in return for our services. when we are gone fire family and our other family continue where we left off. both me and my b/f are firefighters and one day our kid will too. she already loves her toy firetrucks.

  • yes, firefighters are a big family and also an example of the best qualities of humanity, ...and it's because you don't ask for anything in return, that makes you even more inspiring as everyday heroes, and there probably isn't anything that we could give you in return that would equal what you do for us.

  • Very touching. But please try to spell Eulogy right next time.

  • who cares how it is spelt

  • I'm sure your high school English teachers would cry if they read that.

  • i am a high school english teacher

  • That has to be the one of saddest things I ever heard. I sincerely hope that you aren't serious.

  • hey doublesixx,

we're not in spelling class class lol

  • I never said we were, but it's disrespectful to misspell it that badly.

  • My thanks to all the firefighters who lay down their lives everyday. You are the real heroes. I don't cry at movies, but this one I couldn't hold it back. I cried my eyes out.

  • Makes me proud to be a Chicago Firefighter. Truck Company, "Vent the Roof!"

  • While being a voulenteer i have seen some really risky shit, firefighters just putting their own lives on the line because some one else needs their help... To all my brothers and sisters who do this stuff every day, God bless you and be safe.

  • This is a great movie. I'm a guy and this movie made me cry like you wouldn't believe.

  • me to man

  • thats the burden all firefighters have to face: to save others, and to watch their comrades and friends get hurt, they don't choose to die, they choose to risk their lives for a greater cause, just to make sure you have one left to live. I have the Greatest respect for Firefighters, because they are willing to sacrifice themselves to run into a burning building, willing to save your life, or their comrades. Even if it means, riskign their own, There is no courage greater than that.

    Wesker

    ^_^

  • My brother and my father are both firefighters...i find it sad i can never become one, however to watch them come home on a daily basis and find out they lost another brother firefighter..is heartbreaking...(think about the ones at 9/11 and how many comrades they lost that day, how many lives were lost, the lucky ones that survived, firefighter families lost husbands, fathers...heroes, etc but theres also women firefighters and they are just as brave) (Part 1)

    Wesker

    ^_^

  • great movie, great acting.

  • I am a firefighter. This movie depicts what happens exactly and how the job is done. This is my favorite movie, and it is a true tribute to those brothers who have sacrificed themselves for others in the line of duty. This is why I wake up in the morning and get back on truck and do my job. I pay my respects to the few and the fallen. RIP junior 9/10/2002. thank you.

  • I AM THE WIFE OF AN LAFD FIREFIGHTER! I support those who are on the job...I NEARLY LOST my husband. Call yourselve's HERO's...Talk to your girfirends, your bothers, sisters...talk to your wives and kids.... DON'T TAKE THIS JOB FOR GRANTED!!!

  • the movie was good :)

    but the poor jack :(

  • Thats what its like to be part of a brotherhood

  • alright buddy, get ur shit together, they arent applauding the fact he is dead, they applauded the life he lived and what he stood for, his braveness and his courage

  • LOL!!! Good answer!!!!! LOL!!! :D

  • Yeah, hence why they say... "I want everyone to stand up and celebrate the life of Jack Morrison."

How about think before you post...

  • once again....i didn't say that they were applauding he was dead...i said thats what WE should do.

How about YOU think and READ before you post (wink wink)

  • How about YOU think... Why should we celebrate that he died? Hmm?

  • He didnt die...he was in We Own the Night with Mark Walberg. Tehehe

  • Yep, there ya go...

Just proved that you are completely moronic.

  • Ok i give up...fuckin piece of shit im done with you.

  • because he died for a cause b/c the theam is to HONOR him and the ? is true how can a firefighter run into a burning building when everyone is running out. if u that we shouldnt celabrate the life of a man who lived life to his fullest and did his duty then go to hell

  • Best phrasing ever. However, being that I am not a firefighter.. yet.. I'm going to take a crack, and would like you to tell me if I'm close..

They do it, because not only is it their duty, but they feel they are the ones who should be killed in a fire, than the innocent victims that they pull out. Most of the time, they feel as though they are the last line of defense, and it is much like soldiers for their Brothers in Arms,They do it, because they feel honored, and duty bound to do it.

  • Almost had it there. To answer you on that one. We run into to buildings because its not about being a hero or some gutsy person. We do it for the men next to us. its about our fellow man. thats why we run in there.

  • wow welll said hawkins203

  • isnt it eulogy?

    i could be wrong

  • i love this movie.

i would like to thank FIREHOUSE STATION 14 UPPER MONTGOMERY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPATMENT.

i love you guys. and wacth out for my daddy.

  • I cried at the end where he said "Everyone, stand p for Jack morrisson"

    It made me feel sad.

I'd love to be a fire fighter, to help rescue peoples lives.

    <3

  • it's a hard job but nothing is nicer to keep people alive

  • this was a fitting end to a great movie.
