nolas people are are creative, vital, and under duress. the rest of this nation has been riding on their collective backs since slavery if oil revenues were assigned according to texas' and CA's apportion, LA would be a kuwait they deserve better
Why would you sully such a great song from a great band with a cesspool like New Orleans? New Orleans was a fucking slum before Katrina, glad it washed it away.
@zearlina absolutely considered it, but oddly enough, it seemed to slow to convey the gravity of what I had witness in the 24 hours prior to Katrina, and the 30 days that followed. "the vanishing" was much more appropriate for my personal experience. thank you for your thoughts.
my ex lives in amite louisiana, its a couple miles north of new orleans. they got hit hard. we were dating at the time, and when it hit i didnt hear from her for nearly 3 weeks, im living in arkansas
i understand. luckily we had two satellite phones that worked for us. we also had a line around the block (literally) of people that just wanted to call loved ones and let them know they were alive. we probably helped over a hundred people get through to family at a time when every cell tower and land line phone service was OUT. crazy time...
thanks for sharing. you did a good job. i can relate as my family and i were trapped in the city of NOLA during and after HK and got stuck at the convention center for days.

we lived about 13 miles from the beach in Gulfport, so we left and went to alabama, then eventually moved up to Pennsylvania.

Captures the reality nicely. And what was the military doing when Katrina hit? Our videos seems to compliment each other nicely. Thanks for the add.
