@MMK86 The extra 62 cubic inches swallows up the relatively large duration of this cam. It's a torque monster. Its' got 350 lb-ft around 2250 RPM, around 400 at 3K, 450 around 3600, and peaks at 475 a little over 4K. I made one pass at the strip last year but let off before the 1320 and the next pass it broke the DS. I have gone back but I am fighting electrical gremlins right now.
@Ghostrider02GT wow nice, the torque must be awesome! I've been thinking about getting an LQ9 408 built for my 95 z28 and getting rid of the LT1 385 stroker that's in there now. Are your heads ported?
@MMK86 Go for it man, this engine is was built on the most basic budget aside from the shortblock which has decent parts in it. The heads are bone stock 799s, not even milled, bone stock LS6 intake, ported TB, MS4 cam. This thing still pulls a vacuum @ WOT so it is definitely choked out but still a blast on the street!
I have one cutout installed prior to the passenger tip and it is open. The y-pipe merges into one and then the cat-back continues as a single pipe over the axle and splits just after. One side of the split goes to the passenger side without muffling and the driver side split goes through the muffler under the gas tank and then into the muffled driver side tip. So yes, there is a cutout.
Nice stroker I got the same setup just a lil more money put in the car
