I know the code for super sonic on sonic 2. Go to options then sound test and play sounds: 19,65,9,17. push start And hold button A for the controler for the sega then press start on 1 player mode and go to sound test under secret zone and play sounds: 4,1,2,6 then select a level. but befor you do play sound 16 and scroll up slowly.

lol people only know of the super sonic.But theres another sonic which can be unlocked by doing some pattern(Not a cheat) I forgot it.But if u did it u can unlock sonic to become "Hyper sonic"and he gets INSANELY fast.Faster than super sonic lol the screen moves slower than sonic cos he reaches the other end of the screen bfore u know it lol

@Ryuuusa You can only get Hyper Sonic if you hook up Sonic 3 to Sonic and Knuckles. Play through Sonic 3 and get all 7 Chaos Emeralds and then when you get to Sonic and Knuckles all the giant ring zones that would normally give you chaos emeralds give you Super Emeralds. Get all seven of those and you unlock not only Hyper Sonic but an extra fight with Robotnik at the end of S&K.

The extra fight you unlock is the doomsday zone, and this is also unlocked if you have just super sonic.

Super and Hyper are identical in speed and momentum, the only difference barring appearance is that Hyper can perform a double jump that zaps enemies on screen.

@Ryuuusa Is this in Sonic 2? If so, I know the code for it. No emeralds needed, just access the level select screen and go to the Sound Test option and put on these songs in this order: 4, 1, 2, 6. A ring sound should go off. Then go to any level, get 50 rings and jump. And BOOM! Instant Hyper Sonic. I can't remember if you have to hold the A button while pressing Start.

@Ryuuusa What you're talking about is an unofficial glitch mode. I've heard other fans call it "Mega Sonic". At any rate, it moves the same speed as Super Sonic; it just has the ability to clip through everything, and you can only use it in Oil Ocean Act 1.

Kind of. The creator of Sonic, or one of them anyway, has said that he admires Akira Toryiama's Dragon Ball manga. They copied the Super Saiya-jin idea for the Sonic games.

Yeah, the Seven Chaos Emeralds and the Seven Dragon Balls are another similarity. Also Knuckles=Piccolo and Shadow=Vegeta, meaning they were both villains and became heroes, or in Shadow/Vegeta's cases they become somewhat anti-heroes, wanting to defeat the main hero Sonic/Goku no matter what... There are quite a few similarities between the series.
