Great vid John. I had a package of NATO (almost,) waterproof matches in my pocket once and got very wet. The striker that is mounted to the outside of the packaging turned into a wet, gooey, glob of cardboard. From what I saw on the vid they are lightweight, don't need batteries and self contained. How long can the striker be submerged and still work? What type of matches work with them? Where can I get them? I want several. Whats the cost? Thanks.
@willtry2survive1 I have had it submerged for up to 30 min and it worked pretty good. I have used all the readily available matches like REI, strike anywhere, and even paper matches. They will be available to the civilian market in January through Protool Industries at around 10 or 11 dollars for a pack of 5.
I really dont understand the dislikes on John's videos. What's to dislike? The guy is an educator not some sort of entertainer,
Not to say your vids aint entertaining buddy lol
