Great video but I have one question. If the correlation coefficient is a large negative number, wouldn't you want to just short the pair? You called it non-correlatiing but I thought it was a negative correlation. To me a high correlation value is "good" whether it's + or - since I can short just as easily as go long in fx.
Am I missing something. The last time I took a course in basic stats was in the 1980's so I am rusty, to say the least.
@DNAblues - thanks for commenting, great questions - the purpose for creating the video initially was instructional more than it was strategy. One could certainly come to your conclusion and there is no wrong or right answer as much as it is execution and timing.
