Haha, yeah, that's one of them. I turned too early earlier in the drill also, during the silent drill. It was very different doing it without the rifle, so I got distracted a couple of times. :-p
I don't remember the name of the last song, but the first drum part is the King's Guards "Drum March" I remember we called it. Whenever they're marching and not playing a song, they "fill in" with the drum march. In this case the drum march is relieved by the March of the King's Guard, which is the first song. :-)
I was planning on going to the army for 1 year before going to university, but this is probably not happening. There is no room for an IB kid in the army. I probably wouldnt fit in.
Well, in one way I fit with this platoon because of that extreme ambition that comes with doing something like this (you know, going from never having used a rifle to this in a few months). But after having been in the IB for some time, it was refreshing to be in this "get it done, right now" and "quit whining" atmosphere. I definitely liked the military, the stuff I liked most of all was the typical military stuff.
But in many other ways I didn't fit in though. :-)
I might just join the canadian reserve, where its part time army only. You get called to duty only if canada gets attacked. I wont have to go to afganistan or anything.
I'm going to apply for the Norwegian Home Guard's Special Forces next year, it's sort of the same thing, part time only, and as far as I know (a lot of secrecy about that unit) they only have a defensive purpose as well. I love doing that stuff, it's a dream of mine to have that as a part time job (which is essentially is). :-)
How did you get permission to film instead of participate as normal?

I asked. The Lieutenant smiled and said "I'd like to see that" and walked away. :-)

@Thrusthamster You are referring to "mellanmarsch" right? The correct naming in English would be "drum cadence". Great pov!
jcupjohansson 1 year ago
@logitechg20 The drum cadence in the very end is called "Gutten" :-)
jcupjohansson 1 year ago
@logitechg20 The last march is the swedish march "Avanti per Patria", by Sam Rydberg.

Hvilke kamera bruker man?

Jeg brukte mitt gamle Panasonic NV-GS120. Kvaliteten er rimelig nedskalert så video laster litt fort på Youtube da.
