ok maybe it's my ignorance speaking here, but why did the guy in red not just simply smash it to the left instead of the right where his opponent was? there's a huge gap there and it doesn't look that difficult to just smash it

because it's too risky.. the spin on those balls are really huge and if you smash like that you just wait until the other one makes the fault, but saive didn't make it and came back..

Unbelieveable. Saive does not play as well as samsonov or waldner, but he plays with a very nicer style. He plays nice, but some of his shots are out of mind. Thats why he never wins big things~
