Well, Kan Yo is actually Chinese, and he quickly dropped in world ranking, now he's nowhere near the top, he had a couple good tournaments and jumped up, they got pushed back down where he belongs. He peaked at 17th and Joo has been higher than that for 3 1/2 years.

kan yo should be ranked top ten i think he has a really good serves and a steady game, but he look like hes gonna kill you lol proper in the zone, is it me or does kan yo just use his arm to topspin and he doesnt make use of his legs

There's no way Kan Yo could hit top ten for that exact reason. He has a serve and consistency kind of game, the more tactical penholder type. The world rankings are dominated by the more powerfully attacking players.

He makes plenty use of his legs though! Otherwise he wouldn't be ranked nearly as high.

Kan Yo... this is the japanese way of pronouncing his chinese name Han Yang...

Anyway he realized you couldn't try to bash your way through Joo's defence, so he played smart, mixed his drop shots and looped only when he saw an opening, conserved energy, and.. yeah managed to beat Joo. Tremendous strategy
