  • Jocelyn sings

With what fervour what passion, what yearnings and what pain,we realied our own mistakes and so changed our live

    The actual lyrics are

Me th kardia, me th 'pnoi, th pothous kai th pathos

pirame th zwh ma. Lathos. Kai allaksame zwh

    which basically mean

With what fervour what passion, what yearnings and what pain,

did we live our life. A mistake !

And so, we changed (the course of) our life

  • sung beautifully and passionately. wow.

  • what a voice - what a beautiful song

  • Kalimera, I'm very impressed... I didn't know the English version of the beautiful resistance-anthem against injustice and unequality!.

Well done Jocelyn B. Smith, especially the ending of the song! The English text are very similar to the Greek "Arnisi" Sto Perigiali lyrics!

By the way other languages have completly different words... but still beautiful.

Evxaristo poly gia to upload. Kind regards from Germany.

  • I enjoyed it, but I don't have your background.

  • disaster? yes.

    hopless? yes.

however Giorgios Seferis' spirit is satisfied I would guess at his message being perpetuated so many years after his death.

  • I don't like this, only this song can be sung in Greek by a great singer like Maria Farandouri.

  • I agree, she is not into it. It is a great song, a great singer, but they do not belonge together. Two different world.

  • In all fairness, nobody is like Farantouri. She's the diva of divas.

  • Well said she certainly is, she's the voice of Greece is Maria.

  • its good ......

  • Nice version though. I still prefer the more frank, greek version...

  • Thank you this is absolutely fantastic great to hear it in english even though i understand the greek version

  • Jocelyn ich weiss noch als du in den 90ern staendig im Quasi aufgetreten bist, das war wesentlich besser....
