Simple Minds had more hits. coldplay had "yellow" and that was it. i cant consider anything else they did a 'hit'. they pretty much blew their wad with 'yellow', whereas Simple Minds had no fewer than 5 big hits. also, simple minds still play. i seriously doubt coldplay will be relevant in 20 years. wait, they already ARENT

Most bizarre, yet entertaining mix. Used to buy the heck out of the Coldplay albums until I they started rearing their ugly left-wing heads.......on a public spectrum.

As far as comparing the two bands, I think Coldplay put out more hits, but Simple Minds, far from simple, are a far better band that I'd pay the bucks to see.
