In kyokushin karate, it's not measured about you belt's color, there's a kanji written on it and it would be given to you by experience..I just don't know in western countries...
There is weight classes in the tournaments, however its the invitationals that don't. You have to have won a some tournaments before you qualify for the Invitaional.

in Oyama Knockdown events there is no weight category.

I know the blonde shaved head guy is light weight <165 lbs.
So I'd assume they are all fighting light weight.
