1. Writing an emulator would be nearly impossible because of the anti-piracy techniques used by game publishing companies

2. Wii's cannot read the blu-ray disks that the PS3 uses

3. The game would probably run sluggish due to the emulation, and I could bet that the PS3 has more RAM than the Wii.

Yes, both PS1 and N64 emulators are in development. The PS1 emulator is called WiiSX and the N64 emulator is called Wii64.

Games may not run on WiiSX as it's in very early development and games might run old in Wii64.

yes it can if you dont follow the directions correctly, you will be fine if you follow directions correctly. it dosent shows in this video but you can put a snes nes sega gb gba emulators in the homebrew channel, so you can play all those cool retro games. there are alot more emulators like ps1 n64 mame and neo geo but those are still in development, cause they run kinda slow

For all you people out there who are having the 'This Is Not A Valid Wii Application' error message, then I have the answer. Just go to |-|ttp://wiibrew.(0)rg/w/image­s/e/ef/ELF-DOL_Converter_windo­ws(D,O,T)rar and put the two files in your SD card's apps folder, then run it. :)

i read somewhere that said its possible to damage your wii from homebrew and im pretty sure it could becuase its homebrew and all but i would like another opinion on this. like what can happen and is it too risky or not.

There is always a risk, but it's minimised if you know what you are doing, for example, don't run applications which modify the wii's region, etc.

Most applications are fine to run as long as they don't modify the wii settings, nand, etc.

Before anyone upgrades to the HBC Beta 9, please update the Homebrew Browser to v0.2.3b.

The reason why the HBC Beta 9 says that it's not a valid application is because it only accepts valid ELF files.

I will update all the applications in the HBB eventually to use DOL files but for the time being I would recommend that you do not update to HBC Beta 9 or else you won't be able to load up most applications.

All you have to do is find the application zip file, extract it, make sure the elf file is named boot.elf, make sure a folder on your SD card calls /apps exists, create a new folder in the /apps folder for this application you downloaded and copy the .elf file into it.

Well, you also need the Homebrew Channel. To install the Homebrew Channel you need to use the Twilight Hack which you need a copy of Zelda TP for Wii.
