You say he was standing around doing nothing. Well veteran or not the police on the video clearly ordered people to disperse from the street, he remained standing there ignoring the police. The man in the video said there were not rocks or bottles being thrown at the police yet it shows CS gas canisters being thrown back at the police. An note like all explosives sometimes a round has a short fuse and goes off too soon. It's sad a vet was hurt, though at the same time he refused to move

The reason for the second ammendment is so that the people shall be able to abolish the government by use of lethal force if it becomes despotic and impervious to any other means of change. You are advocating despotism; if you get your way I hope you're prepared for the consequences: violent revolution.

The correct response to this would have been to call in the national guard and apprehend the police officers involved.
