As much as their writing is overloaded with butt rock lyrics and mostly half-assed themes, they can write infectious pop metal/rock. They are badass riff creators and can write hooks (for better or worse). There's an audience out there that likes tard lyrics. @fitzpantsenson that's also how metallica sounds, yet they are in the hall of fame and are one of the most well known and respected metal bands in the world. Im not hating i love metallica but why complain about nickelback when so many others are the same yet people like them... Btw i would like to know what you guys consider redundant about nickelback, such as what songs and such..

@prehistoricpain no...what you are saying is YOUR opinion is the only one that matters...what i'm saying is millions of people buy their (nickelback,britney spears,justin beiber, etc..) so obviously the record executives are doing their jobs marketing their talents!! If the music really did as you say "suck" then why are they selling so many copies?? Also just because they are famous does not make them great...just makes them FAMOUS...but probably got there for alot of different reasons.....
