this game is better than 09 because of less glitches more challenges in the difficulty you put like if you put rookie its like playing on veteran if you put veteran its like playing on all star and if you put all star its like playing in hall of famer and the online is good and both teams make line changes unlike NHL09

Get NHL 2K10 for Wii. Don't buy another system just to get a game. The Wii version of 2K10 along with 2K10 for PS2 will be the best versions.

NHL 09 by a wide margine, the only cool thing that 2K9 did were the on-ice videos. The game plays very poorly compared to EA's game (2K's commentary was better as well though)
