What a great song. I received a voicemail one evening and this was song was it. Left by a man I love very much but for some reason we can't seem to get things worked out.

I love this song & the movie "Hope Floats"! It came out about the time I went through my divorce & decided to stay in my beloved home state of Kentucky. I finally figured out all that glitters is "not" gold!! After all, how can you compare a bunch of bright lights with a worn old pair of cowboy boots & some of the most beautiful horses in the world? And who knows, perhaps love will find it's way back into my life & "stay" this time!! Until then...cowboy boots, horses, and Kentucky Lake it is!

This song in the movie "Hope Floats" was done in the background of one of the most touching scenes in the movie, where she is visiting her dad at the rest home. He has Alzheimer's and doesn't even recognize her at first. Then he opens up his arms and reaches out to her, and they dance together as this song plays. Had me bawling. I'm a 58-year old man and the movie is definitely a chick flick, but it's one of my favorites of all time Several other tear-jerking scenes, but. positive movie overall.

What I have learned in this life is that unfortunately it does take 2 who feel this exact way about each other to make it work in the long-haul, otherwise it just leads to ultimate unhappiness and dysfunction. I would give "Hope Floats" a C+ at best, total chick flick. But I cried when she Bertie danced with her father in the rest home. The soundtrack is A+ not a bad song anywhere on it .
