OK! I just got my faith back into the whole world of 3D design.

I'm really seriously thinking of coming back and devoting my time to the archviz and such.

The only thing that ever stopped me to switch from Mental Ray was the fact that I thought Vray is way less realistic judging by some archviz renders...but now I see I was wrong...

Not to mention all these insane features that we can just dream of in Mental Ray.

@VEGETADTX Hey man, I've been using Vray for Maya a while now and it is very good. What I would recommend is maybe trying out Mental Core, a new way of using Mental Ray for Maya. Haven't tried it myself yet but looks pretty promising :D

@theglasgowinventor bad recording but typical for on the fly recordings at conferences like Siggraph.  It's good enough to follow along.
