Reminds me of the summer of 88 in Edmonton (Gretzky's last as a Oiler) ....still there would be one more year in Edmonton in 1990 (84, 85, 87, 88, 90)....five long years :)
Oddly enough, I heard this song on the radio in 2007. It hooked me instantly but I didn't get a chance to hear the artist name or song title. All I knew was that the chorus had "and I love you just the same" in it. But now I've finally found it, and after 5 long years I love this song just the same! :)
I ran into him at a bathhouse with the rest of his band, and they were hot fer cock!!! And Colin James had some serious pubes!!!! Almost like the hair on is head, big but not quite a pompadour. Still though what a night! Sigh :(. He could play the saxophone with his butt. Amazing, he played the theme to Night Court!
Its too bad, I think Colin was ahead of his time. Had he appeared a few years later he probably would have been bigger than he was.... I wonder is he still performing, I might try to get my work to book him at our theatre.
Wow I didn't relize, listening to this and Just came back, colins sound is like a cross between the boss and SRV, two of my favorites. I'm a musician and hope to make music like that.
Voice is amazing, guitar playing second to none....and you're from my adopted home city. What's not to love! Thanks Colin, this song means more than you'll ever know to me. Keep it up!!
I.M.H.O.: Probably THE best "makes you feel good" song ever recorded. There were lots of excellent 'high energy' tunes created in and around that particular decade but, this one still remains exceptional. Thanks for making it available. Enough said; time to listen to it again.
I am so proud my hubbie to be is a Canadian and he shares all with me...I love him mucho.
