Deep behind the tube doing what hero big wave tube riders do best, holding the low line, letting all the energy explode on the reef and staying behind all that energy. Then when he gets racked it is a push down and then the underwater cartwheels start. but is much better than getting stuck in the lip and thrown over and/or blown upwards or worse going straight to the reef.

A local got caught on the inside here and tryed duck diving a wave. The wave toppled him and banged him against the reef over and over. He was bleeding and foaming at the mouth. He died 3 days later.
