I was brought to a Landmark meeting by a friend & after 10 min I realized it was brainwashing. I escaped (bc they don't let you leave the building & can only go tot he bathroom during scheduled breaks) by claiming food poisoning. One of the LM people wanted to follow me home-no kidding. Wouldn't take no for an answer. Ended up going to my work & hanging out there until they left (it was a weekend & I had a key card & could get in & they could not). Never heard from them again, but it was freaky.
I can't think of anything more arrogant and limiting of progress than saying, "I KNOW [this technology] to be correct." REAL scientists and engineers would examine things, tinker with it, modify things, see if it is really correct or if it can be made better. The things in the Scientology creed are saying, "We're going to venerate this "tech" as the ultimate thing and not tolerate any change, forever and ever." Run AWAY from these fools!
