I remember feeling so betrayed when i found out that santa wasn't real. I didn't care overmuch about santa himself, but that my parents would lie to me, and about such a big part of the world. that kept me believing well past normal age. clark might be the same way. ....but surely he's not THAT sheltered?

The Ultra-Humanite in these episodes kind of reminds me from Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons. It's weird to think that he was actually Superman's earliest super villain foe, predating even Lex Luthor.

Its this strange way he never takes his villains seriously, but then the character got the rough end of the stick when it came to his villains.

They have this inverse ratio logic. If it is good its bad, if its bad....its good. CN did the same thing to Big O. And it annoys me since they would only bring a series with a brilliant story, only if they where given the money to do it by another company....

I try and encourage people to watch it, it is so very underrated, possibly one of the most underrated animes of all time next to Giant Robo, which I still have to watch. But again. Firefly was gorram fracking epic, such humor and whit. And the net work canceled it.

People get out of your holes and watch something fresh and actually entertaining! WATCH SOMETHING GOOD FOR A CHANGE!.....sorry....I tend to rant about how the quality of tv sucks these days...

Big O was absolutely fabulous, although the conclusion left myriad loose threads.

I think Mr. Whedon was influenced by Cowboy Bebop, except for the unique expressions they used, etc.

So much of television, animated, live, whatever, is so much white noise & filler.

For Live TV, I watch " HOUSE, M.D. " & " Bones ", they're both such intelligent shows, along w / reruns of BSG & hopefully Caprica going on air later.

Thinking about it, there is a strong connection between the two shows and their styles.

Of course House is just made of Win. Sadly I have never watched Bones since it barely aires where I live. But of course BSG is again brilliance on film. Doctor Who I have a long line of wonderful comments about, ahh television....what happened to you?

Yes, indeed. Despite a few differences in style. & House is great, even though I can't see working for such a character w / out needing Vicodin myself !!

BONES is great, they actually have something called " continuity ", as does " House ".

BSG is great, natch. & the Sci - Fi ( I refuse to use the new name " Syfy " much ) channel only shows " Doctor Who " reruns late at night. The" reality dreck " on Sci - Fi & CN often leaves me blah.

Television is often a 3rd lamp in my apartment.

The " reality " shows they offer are very often rehashes of the same dreck. I can't believe that CN has them* ( *Including a junior " Ghost Hunters " type show ) . & the Sci - Fi channel has made - for - tv movies that are VERY derivative & very often beyond crummy.

The general dearth of REALLY good television often means, like I said, that TV is like another lamp here.

Dude your a 100% right. Thats what this episode is about. Martain Manhunter isn't Christian he isn't even human. But Ma and Pa Kent brought him in like family because it's christmas. Or look at The Flash he got that toy from a guy in Japan. The Japanese man probably didn't celebrate Christmas but he knew the Flash was a hero trying to spread joy to kids. Everyone can enjoy christmas or any other holdiay. We just need to help each other and be kind.

@epeemstr316 I know, it's annoying. I'm a Christian myself and it gets annoying that people keep telling my Christian friends and others that you should say holidays, not Christmas. I would say say holidays every once in a while, but I mostly say Christmas. And when I say Merry Christmas, I just say it as a way of saying "God bless you" or something like that. When someone says happy Hanukah, I won't bash them for in this country, we are free and God likes when just chose by will. :)

I think this episode says a lot about The Flash, he doesn't have it in him to hate anyone and as such even his enemies will sometimes return the favour (Flash and Substance is another good example)
