  • she looks like nikkimae! :) both beautiful women!

  • hey im gonna try to apply your techniques to my curls, and wear it natural. i'll post some vids :-) Go Girl!

  • Beautiful long hair!

  • wow u have really good hair... how mnay times should i honey pre-poo?

  • Anyone ever tell you that you look like kelly rowland from destiny's child? you have lovely hair!

  • very RED CARPET i<3 it! :)

  • you are gorgeous and i love your hair!

  • I absolutely love your hair sooo beautiful...

  • I'm jealous that you have no makeup on and still look that pretty. I've been prepooing since the start of my hair journey (December 08! ) Before seeing this vid I'd always used my best condishes to prepoo (which was a waste) but, Ever since seeing this video, I got the idea of using a condish that basically sucked for me, and using about 1/3 suckish condish and 2/3 honey, so it has a little added bonus (and works amazing!) and I get rid of the suckish condish :]

  • thank you, this was very helpful!

  • i tried the honey, and it made my hair so full, my curls had so much elasticity. it really helps, i haven't had a relaxer since oct.08.

  • can you heat the honey prior?

  • Another quick question...Which Vitale relaxer do you use? I've seen quite a few different ones..Mo' Body, etc? I use Hawaiian Silky which is made by the same company, but am interested in their other relaxers since it is hard to find.

  • it realy work its jus i try the honey an egg treatments together but it was stinky to me a egg do smell good to me but honey did

  • hey girl, is their a special regimen that u do that ur hair is so long and beautiful.... please help

  • no- not really a special product or regimen but I do think rollersetting, deep conditioning and stretching my relaxers has allowed my hair to flourish :)

  • How do you sleep with a rollerset

  • Thank you for the video and helpful tips.

  • I'm not trying to be funny but this seems strange. Do you ever get bugs in your hair?

  • haha - no, no bugs!

  • pls answer this, if u know:

I have 4a/b NATURAL hair; when wet it's just a mass of defined ringlets the size of straws. i want to try this honey deal, but of course i can't rollerset in its curly state. question: if i let it air dry, will i still have the "shine" factor?

    luv ur videos!

    songgbrd03 reppin NC!

  • yep!

  • Hi! I recently saw a post of your video on a friends Facebook page, the saran wrap tutorial, & HAD to say, WOW! Your hair is gorgeous! I have never put much work into maintaining my relaxed hair, other than shampooing & a deep conditioner here and there. It's a little past shoulder length and fairly healthy, but it's kinda stagnant and won't grow past a certain length. I've subscribed to your channel and will definitely try your suggestions.

Btw, what perm do you use or is your hair natural?

  • I use Vitale perms - they are fantastic!

  • how often do u do that?

  • once or twice a month :)

  • Great tut, very informative about what the purpose of honey is:)

  • First of all, your hair is very pretty, so I trust your info. Secondly, I TRULY kept asking myself why is everyone using honey? What a sticky unnecessary thing? Now I know. Thank you soooo much.

  • haha no prob!

  • Your hair is extremely beautiful

i wanted to ask(if you dont mind) if you could possibly make a video on your hair journey and some of the products that you used

what did you use to grow your hair, and how did you thinken it??

if its too much, than dont bother but if not it would be very helpful:-)

  • I actually did a Roller setting video which basically takes you through my entire weekly regimen start to finish. That is pretty much what I did to make my hair super healthy and is still the regimen I use to this day. I made it into a dvd because its pretty long (50 mins or so) and I didnt want to have a billion small short videos. I think its a lot better that way!

  • How often should this treatment be done? What other products did you use, or was it strictly honey?

  • about once or twice a month. I think I use Mizani products for that video (to wash and deep condition)

  • Is molasses good for moisture or protein? Honey sounds good but I don't want my hair lighter.

  • molasses is good for moisture (I have to consult my notes to see whether it has protein). Molasses will make the hair darker. HTH!

  • I did the honey prepoo and my hair came out delicious! I will do this from now on...Thanks!

  • prob smelled amazing too,right!

  • i LOVE your video's they really help me take good care of my hair =]

  • anytime!

  • I did this on Tuesday and it works! I will do this with every cowash! The honey gives your hair more moisture and it is very bouncy!

  • Good video Mach, how's the new site coming along?

  • so far so good!!!! Its been super busy but I hope to post more free vids soon!

  • Can you please tell my what hair vitamin you use. I take a the Women's One A Day, but I would like to take a hair vitamin also.

  • I use Futurebiotics Hair, skin and Nails (or Natures bounty). LOVE those!

  • do you put just honey?

  • pretty but i dont want a golden color in my hair. could i use molasses instead?

  • o.0 are you serious?

  • I read somewhere that if you don't want the light tone that you should use molasses instead!!!

  • I had that problem. Yes you can use molasses instead and still still get the same results. Try it!

  • of course how would would you comb it?

  • Great video! Please do a video on keeping the curls!

  • good video

  • The big problem with honey is that it lightened my hair after a while. So it's a good treatment but beware of it changing your hair colour

  • hi i really appreciate this comment. i have black hair and don't want it lighter.

  • woooow ...your hair is reall good ..... and thanks for your tips sister ......

  • You are a very beautiful woman!!!!

  • it looks great

  • I love it! Did you shampoo the honey out or just condition? Are you going to post more videos?

  • yay your back

  • WOW!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm glad to see you're back!!!

  • Hi there, your hair is so beautiful and full, i think you should do a full hair regimen just to let us know what moisturizer, wrap set mouse etc.. you use. THANX

  • Thanks for sharing; I'll be trying a honey pre-poo soon.

  • I love your hair. Thank you for showing the honey video. May God bless you and keep you and give you peace.

  • Hey Macheriehair Would love to have a venue where we can all get together and share more info, network and finally meet you. How about a Hair Summit?

  • sounds good to me!

  • missed your hair advice, im sure when i first strarting my hair journey you were the first person to upload videos on you tube about hair, now there are hundreds, you atarted someting, also dont ever listen to the haters

  • ah, its ok. Thats what happens when you put yourself out there for the world to judge. It comes with the territory. I dont take it personally - I just learn from it and keep moving forward. Plus, 99% of the people I come into contact with are positive, supportive women of color and I am extremely blessed to have them in my life.

  • You are one of my inspirations , I have your dvd, I talked about it in one of my videos, and I truelly love what you doing helping people. I knew about you through youtube and LHCF. I love supporting women that are out there to help her people. Blessings and Love!!!

  • i was wondering if your hair is relaxed, if so, what salon or brand did you use???

    i really love your hair!

    pleaseee answerr!!!

  • I am relaxed. I use Vitale relaxers and I attend Honeydew hair salon in Philadelphia for my relaxers and trims. They are great! Ask for Luz!

  • Beautiful hair! Thank you so much for sharing.! Would you mind telling me how you have your haircut? Also how much do you have removed when getting a trim? Your hair is absolutely beautiful. Inspiration!

  • is there a particular time frame that a person should wait to do the honey prepoo before/after getting a relaxer?

  • I just recently tried honey and a banana! and it was a mess! I had to do some damage control because that banana didnt want to come out! I still have banana n my hair till this day!

  • does it matter how long you let the honey sit in your hair?

  • i usually put it on over night and sleep with out. you can mix it with a conditioner too. something like v05.

  • did you leave the honey in your hair?

  • Thanks for clearing that up, I was one that was scared to use honey thinking it would be sticky, I will try this soon.

Keep up the good work, love your videos!

  • I was scared also. So thanks.

  • I'm gonna try this on a co-wash & ur method...cuz i been lacking in shine. Love it Mach

  • amazing results. your hair makes me wanna leave the texlaxed side and fully relax. dang it's beautiful :)

  • that is beautiful

  • your hair is sooooo pretty!

  • I've only used honey by adding it to a conditioner because the fear of sticking. Thanks for the helpful video.:)

  • can you straight your hair?

  • yes - it works either way

  • Can you straightening your hair too when you use that will it still have shine

  • good question. I almost always rollerset so I m gonna toss this question out to the other viewers? Anyone have experiences with honey and blowdrying/flatironing?

  • wow i never thought that honey could do that and it makes the curls hold amazingly! thnx for sharing!!

  • Love that u showing others how to get beautiful hair (love yours by the way) but i just wanted to add that for those who have lighter color hair (light browns and brighter) honey is perfect cuz it will bring out your light tones but for those who have darker hair (medium brown to jet black) and wanna keep it darker should use molasses instead it'll bring out your dark tones (ex. deep reds) plus it works just like honey

  • very cool info thanks!

  • Thanks for making this video. I'm going to try this on my hair this week. I'm anxious to see how this will effect my curls.

  • I really love it, I'm going to try it next week! Going to steel my moma's honey.. LOL

  • Can you straightening your hair too?

  • Thanks for sharing ! :) I'll definitely try honey.

  • nice!

  • Your hair is so beautiful. I would love to be able to grow my hair out to the lenght of yours.

  • Absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much.

  • I'm sure you've never had a hair growth problem but do you have product you can recommend for hair growth. I had a norplant years ago. My hair will not grow right and the texture totally changed. When I put a chemical in it. It brings it back out again. I am a liscenced cosmotologist, not practicing. I have also become a diabetic. Do you think that could have something to do with it also. I know that your hair needs protein to live. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • I also thought it would be sticky, so thanks for the tip!

  • I never thought of that...

I use Shea Butter - Fortunately you can buy pure Shea Butter here

    Very interesting!

  • Ok so for the millioneth time, your hair is gorg! I can totally see the difference.
