I don't know what is more sad. You picking stupid fights on YouTube (as can be seen with other people posting on your profile page and basically telling you to grow up and be mature), your crappy English (You are from Germany), or the fact you're 30. I don't think you're supposed to have a mid-life crisis until you're at least 40. Respect isn't just a song.
Friggin Atari. Do the math fuckers. One 32bit a 64bit graphics accelerator do not equal 64 bits. Nor does having a 68000, the same thing as a Genesis. I can't believe they fooled so many peolpe with their 5 good games.
@viMasterJag U r a complete idiiot. I bet u were in diapers when the jag came out. plus, it never had a 64bitcpu, which is what determines the bits, not a piece of equipment somebody invented for atari called a graphics accelerator. Also I can say what I want numbnuts. I didn't know I had to ask permission to comment
@viMasterJag U know nothing about this stuff. The graphics accelerator was the chip atari put in there to accelerat its graphics. And then what is a motrola 68000processor doing in there. That is the same fucking processor as the genesis, a 16 bit console. No 64 bits and if so, where are they on the games. This don't look like like n64, ps1(32bit), saturn, hell even snes looks better. Do some research then open ur mouth. But not too wide, ur breath smells like cum and shit.
@bean420man Once again, you prove you are retarded.
I had a Jaguar Christmas of '94 you smacktard. The M68K was supposed to be used as an I/O controller only. It did not have a SINGLE CPU - it had a few. It was a multiprocessor setup. If you knew what you were talking about, you'd know that.
64-bit Object & Blitter processors, 64-bit bus, 32-bit GPU & DSP and the 16/32-bit M68k.
Weird, those 2 64-bit processors are... processors.
@bean420man WOW! The jag's games don't look as good as LATER consoles driven in a market that grows exponentially in technology.
Those later consoles you mentioned BETTER look better, because of advancements in technology.
And no, the SNES does not look better. See, that comment alone shows that you know NOTHING at all. The colors ALONE on jag games out-perform SNES... and they should. The Jag is technologically superior.
@viMasterJag see, this shows that u are just ignorant and a fanboy. I compared the jaguar to systems that were 64 bit or LESS. It should outperformor equal these systems. It does not.AJaguar could never make a DK country, STar Fox, nuthin. If so, where is the Jag? Hello, jaguar games, where can I find u? Oh, the system lasted only a year. Hell, the sega CD did better than that. Everything atari did after the crash ended up being shit, or they would still have a console.FACTS man
@bean420man Ah, so NOW you're talking about how the games LOOKED and NOT the actual technical aspects of the system.
I proved you wrong and you changed the subject. Another dead giveaway of a troll who doesn't know what he/she is talking about.
Rayman, Battlesphere, Zero 5, Crescent Galaxy, Iron Soldier 1 & 2, Cybermorph, Battlemorph, AvP, and the list goes on. Those are ALL WAY superior to games the SNES put out.
@bean420man "Hello, jaguar games, where can I find u?"
Umm, I have all of them. Not sure what you mean here. The system lasted longer than a year. The jaguar pretty much died in '96 & '97. That's longer than a year.
Go find more facts to try to prove me wrong, because everything you've said so far is wrong.
@viMasterJag Dude how a game looks has everything to do with the processing power. How dumb are u?an why did the snes still have games coming out for it into the new millenium? U just r mad that someone knows what they r talking bout, so u tell me I'm wrong. U r pathetic.
@bean420man Yes, it the processing power is related to the game's graphics. I didn't say otherwise. YOU were talking about the Jaguar's hardware and then you changed the subject to the games, because I proved you wrong. Simple enough.
Stop it with the 14-year-old talk, too, dude. All that "u r" is annoying. Write like a grown-up.
And just to be sure you understand me, you are still wrong. Every point you have made I've proved you wrong on.
@viMasterJag also, why u have to talk shit over the net. That's the sign of a bitch who got beat up every day at school and now is a 50 year old version.
Looks like a pretty well-done football game, even if it is just another 16-bit port to the Jaguar. Though it's pretty obvious that you have to know football(which I don't) to be able to really play it.
I like Ultra Vortek, I guess. But then the Jaguar had a bunch of "2000" games like Tempest, Defender, and Breakout that seemed a little unnecessary for a system that supposedly boasted such "power". They were trying to cater to whatever retro Atari gamers they thought they could attract. And the graphics weren't very impressive on those games, either. And why did the Jaguar have 2 Pinball games when they didn't even have 1 baseball game? One thinks Atari was kind of out of touch.
Oh, don't get me wrong. The Tramiels were out of touch and didn't do NEARLY enough for the Jaguar.
I don't think they were necessarily trying to attract whatever retro-Atari gamers they could -- they just wanted a bunch of games out for the system, but they went about it the wrong way.
It looks like they increased the size of the sprites for Troy Aikman, though, just to keep things in perspective.
Check out Hover Strike, Iron Soldier, etc to see more of what the Jag could do.
this game pissed me off to no end. i thought it was really half assed as it looked like the Genesis version and there was some play my brother could do that scored a TD EVERY time. He would pick it off the plays you coudlnt see and he would run backwards about 15 yards and then toss a deep pass that was always completed. To this day, this is the only American football game he could ever beat me in.
On defense, my advice would be to focus on containment rather than trying to crush the QB. You can switch to a defensive lineman and move him back a little bit before the snap. After the snap, if it's a run, move back in. If it's a pass, drop him back into coverage.
Here's a tip. When you score a touchdown, call a timeout. You will get the ball on the 2 yard line with a new set of downs. If you get the ball into the end zone, it will be worth 6 points! You use all three of your time outs after scoring each time and come away with 18 easy points! You can do this in the same possession! Or you might want to spread it out on possessions.
I would kill for these graphics on my SNES. Led my Dolphins to six super bowl championships on this game.

@bean420man Dude, I didn't realize that there was a consortium saying "this and this equals an X-bit console."
The Jaguar is a 64-bit architecture just as THE GAME PROGRAMMERS attested to.
What "64bit graphics accelerator" are you even talking about? You obviously know nothing about this stuff, so keep it to yourself.
I'm surprised you've been fooled into believing there were only 5 good games.
Keep trolling, though... it helps us see who the real retards are on the internet.

Blackson187 2 years ago
Yeah, it's not indicative at all of what the Jaguar can do.
It's a simple lazy port from a 16-bitter.
Unfortunately, too many programmers/companies were just lazy and decided to do quick ports instead of actually making use of the hardware.
On the other hand, Atari didn't give devs proper tools to do the good stuff, anyway.
The hardware is great -- just very few games took advantage of it.
